Pet care experience
I have lived with dogs my whole life. They have all been rescues, each with their own histories, whether they were abused by their owners or found on the side of the street. I have worked with our rescue dogs on making them comfortable in new environments, on potty training, and on helping them get along with people and other dogs. I have also walked dogs from shelters who are up for adoption and helped care for them at adoption events with the animal humane society in Albuquerque, New Mexico. I have my own 60 lb pit bull who I walk and play with every day. I know how to easily recognize what dogs need, whether it be emotional or otherwise. I am very aware of when dogs are too hot on walks or need water or a break. I am very easily able to connect with dogs and their physical and emotional well-being is extremely important to me.

I've seen Bailey interact with hundreds of dogs in the Williamsburg area. She is also loving and friendly, making sure that they are comfortable and happy before she approaches or pets them. Her enthusiasm for animals and their wellbeing is unmatched.
I volunteered with Bailey for about half a year with Albuquerque's People's Anti-Cruelty Association (PACA) walking dogs. The dogs took to her like no other and she was also the most knowledgeable, having lived with and taken care of her family's three lively dogs, and taught me how to correctly care for them. She is extremely responsible, professional, and I would highly recommend her as a dog caregiver: she will be one of nicest people and the biggest animal-lover you will ever meet.

If they have medication needs, activity restrictions or needs, any allergies, rooms in the house they shouldn’t go to. Are they friendly with other animals? How do they do on walks? I can handle lots of different animals with different needs, just as long as you inform me of them and your recommendations on how to work with them.
A typical day
Depending on the pets’ needs, I can adapt. If you have a high energy dog, I can take them on a longer walk or run, play with them using toys or throwing a ball with them in your yard if there is one. I can also give love and attention to older or less active pets who just need some TLC. My dog has hip problems and I know lots of different tricks on how to get her to take her necessary medicines so I can apply these practices with your pets if necessary.

I am a teacher and am on spring break and have a very free schedule these next two weeks (March 27 - April 9). After that, I am mostly free on weekends.
