Pet care experience
My life has always been filled with animals and I have been caring for them for a very long time as well. Around 10 years ago when I was starting high school, I began dog sitting for a family I was previously babysitting for. I spent all of high school making great grades, working my part time job, and of course, dog sitting. With my first clients I learned about administering meds (oral, eye and ear), feeding all different kinds of food to different pets, and even participated in the training of a German shepherd puppy so that I could know his commands and be best suited for walking him. It became a real passion of mine. In college, whenever I was feeling low or missing my zoo back home, I would dog sit for the emotional support animals on campus or pin up some flyers and pet sit around my university town. Since graduating university, I have moved back to Houston and live in an apartment where I have two, beautiful little boy cats. They are my world; however, I cannot fill my small apartment with animals like I am used to so I do this to become a small part of your fur baby’s life and spread my love for animals :)
Reviews
Bailey was amazing with my 2cats. she did everything we ask her and more when we were out for 2 weeks. She always sent us pictures, updates, questions. Moreover, she is a very lovely person. I would always use her for my fur babies
Bailey is a fantastic pet sitter! She did drop in visits for our two dogs while we were away for a weekend. She sent frequent updates, was timely, and took great care of our fur babies!
Thank you for wearing out our monsters!
Thank you for checking in on our monsters, also noticed you brought our heavy giant boxes in, thank you!!!

Having now been on Rover for a while, this is such an important part of choosing a sitter and trusting someone with not just your fur babies, but your home as well. Before ever booking with me, I set up a meet and greet (usually in your home so that I can see your baby’s environment and routine but if you would like to be somewhere public that absolutely works for me.) From here, I listen to what you are needing and looking for and then always ask my potential clients, “is there anything you would like to know about me that would make you feel safe with me in your home and caring for your pet.” I am happy to talk about my 9-5 job, my university, my family, my own pets and home, etc. please use this opportunity to make sure you feel safe while you are supposed to be enjoying a vacation or focused on your work trip. No question is a bad question and you have a right to know the person in your home around your fur kiddos.
Information Bailey H. would like to know about your pet
For dogs, I like to know if they need any medications, if they are sensitive to the heat or the cold given the time of year since we are in such an extremely hot environment much of the year. I like to know if they are scared of thunder so that on evenings when there is rain I can spend a little extra time making sure they are okay and receive lots of pets. Whatever makes your dog more than just a dog, the things about him or her that make them a part of the family and set them apart from all other dogs, almost like they are little people in your home. I want to know those things so that I can love them like you do while you are gone.
A typical day
I cannot say that I have anything specific in mind for your fur baby. I tend to try and make the transition to my care as seamless as possible. If you go on walks morning and evening and they love the little loop around your cul-de-sac, that is what we will do! If they love to go to the park and throw a tennis ball around, that is what we will do. If the choice is completely mine (depending on the age and health of your fur baby and whether it is a dog or cat), I will likely go for a walk with your dog, make sure they do their business, then come back inside get them some water and some toys and just love on them so they know they are not alone while you’re gone. For your cat, if they are social, we will play the WHOLE time. If they are antisocial, I will give them space to warm up to me, make sure they are fed and nurtured from a distance until they are ready to warm up, at which point we will play the WHOLE time. :)

Availability
Currently I work a job where I am in the office Monday - Wednesday and then remote Thursday - Friday and then off weekends. For the beginning of the week, I am rather flexible but ideally like to do drop ins or walks in the early morning, as for the rest of the week, my time is yours! I have also had several clients change plans last minute, miss a flight or had their return delayed, and I have been able to check on their pets/continue services every single time without fail.
