I have been surrounded by dogs my whole life. When I was just 2 years old my family got our first dog, a cocker spaniel. Since then we have had a basset hound, a chocolate lab, two Alaskan malamutes, and our little mutt Etta. When I was about 15, our two malamutes had 9 babies so we had our own little wolf pack running around for a couple months. I am now in college and ever since I got here I have found that I really miss that part of my life and want to bring dogs back into my life. At first I thought about volunteering at the local SPCA but the only available volunteer opportunity I was able to find was a front desk associate and I wanted be interactive with the dogs. I realized that dog boarding was for me when one of my good friends started to dog board. It really seemed like she enjoyed doing what she was doing and the dogs always managed to brighten my day.
