***New to Rover but not new to taking care of animals*** Hi! My name is Azalea (also known by my middle name, Karina) and I am currently a stay-at-home mom and an online graduate student. My husband and I joke that our "first child" was our dog Abby and then came our human son DJ as our "second child." :) Words can't express how much we love our baby girl Abby. She is a 7-year-old 15lb. rescued Rat Terrier. We’ve had her now for about 3 years. Since I recently had a baby, she unfortunately hasn’t been able to get much time with other dogs so I thought this would be a great way for her to still socialize with other dogs. We would love for her to meet your little one and become friends! I LOVE animals and would LOVE to take care of your baby as if he or she is my own! I have grown up with dogs for the majority of my life and have pet sat a few times for family members and close friends. I absolutely love their company and their different personalities! I have experience caring for dogs of different sizes and know how to also give oral medication and work with food restrictions. I will go above and beyond to make sure your pup’s stay in my home is safe, comfortable, and loving! Please contact me if you would like to set up a Meet & Greet or if you have any questions. This was my second time using Azaela as a dog sitter for my two dogs and she was so great! When my flight was delayed and I had to pick my dogs up later than planned, she was so accommodating and didn’t mind keeping them a little longer. Azalea is an amazing dog sitter! She watched my two dogs for five days and sent me pictures every day throughout the day, and went out of her way to make sure they were comfortable and happy! She updated me throughout the day with what they were up to, and my mind was always at ease! She also has a wonderful dog named Abby who became friends with my dogs. I would recommend Azelea to anyone looking for a dog sitter, and will 110% be using her again to watch my pups!! thank you again azalea, you are awesome!
Karina is phenomenal with animals. As her husband, I get to witness first hand how she interacts with them. While I certainly love animals, and especially our little Abby, Karina takes a love for animals/pets to another level. It warms my heart to know and see how much she cares for our little Abby. Abby has been through many traumatic experiences before we adopted her and Karina is very intentional about Abby's healing and well-being. From going above and beyond to ensuring that Abby gets enough socialization, exercise, staying on top of her special diet, to keeping a very vigilant eye at even the slightest change in Abby's disposition or attitude. I am more than confident that she will approach caring for your baby (pet) with the same vigilance and dedication. I give my lovely wife a high recommendation!
