Thanks! ----------------------------------- ANGEL'S DEN Home Boarding and Doggy Daycare // Work from Home // Dedicated Doggy Playspace // Doggy Door to Fenced Backyard // Friendly Dog Loves to Play ------------------------------------ I will try to cover everything you might want to know about us in my profile below. When in doubt, ask me questions! I grew up with dogs and have always been a dog person. My husband, who has never had dogs before, just became one after we adopted Angel last year. Angel is very social and loves other dogs so much that we debated getting a second dog for her. Doing dog boarding & daycare is perfect for us! I work from home, we have a walkout basement to a fenced yard, and most importantly, Angel loves her new friends! ------------------------------------ TIME AVAILABILITY Drop-off and pick-up is anytime between 7 AM and 9 PM. I do not charge early drop-off or late pick-up fee, I will accommodate your need as long as it is a reasonable request. Boarding is 24 hour of stay and daycare is 10 hour of day stay. Half day of daycare (4 hours or less) is available at half of daycare price. My work is project-based and home-based so I will be home full-time. From time to time I will need to go out for 2-4 hours to run errands or have work meetings, but my schedule is very flexible when planned ahead. My husband works full time, but he will be available to help me care for the dogs on the weekends. ------------------------------------ DEDICATED DOGGY PLAYSPACE We live in a two-story home with a walk-out basement and fenced-in backyard. We dedicate our basement as doggy playspace and my home office, so your dog will be under close supervision while playing with other dogs there. Our basement is finished with hard floor, has plenty of space with dog beds and minimal furniture, and has pet door access to the backyard. We make sure our basement is dog friendly and we tolerate reasonable doggy messes there. ------------------------------------ MEET & GREET I strive for a fun and friendly environment for all dogs that stay here, so I require a M&G before a stay. M&G is done at my place so your dog can sniff around and get familiar before their stay; this will also give you the chance to check out the place and request any arrangement if needed. Please note that if your booking is very last minute that a M&G is not possible at all, I will assess your dog during drop-off time and have the right to not accept the stay if it's not a match and a separation arrangement is not possible. ------------------------------------ CANCELLATION POLICY My Rover cancellation policy is strict. However, I understand that last minute emergency can happen (e.g. trip is cancelled due to a family member emergency, dog is sick and needs to be boarded at vet, etc). I offer a full or partial refund outside of the strict policy on case by case basis. To request for refund outside of the strict policy, you will need to provide me proof of emergency within five days of cancellation. ------------------------------------

Ayu was absolutely wonderful with my dog. I could not have asked for better care for her! I received updates everyday, complete with pictures, telling me how she was doing and what she had been up to. This is the first time I have ever had to board my dog before, so I wasn’t sure what to expect and I was nervous to leave her. But soon after dropping her off, I received an update letting me know how she was adjusting and pictures showing she was having fun. Knowing Sadie was well taken care of meant the world to me, and it made it so I could actually enjoy vacation. Thank you for taking such great care of my dog! We will definitely be back!
Luka had a great time at Ayu's while we were away in Florida. He always looked very happy and content in all the pictures she sent. She is very good about keeping you updated and sending pictures at least twice a day. Her house is very clean and you can tell she genuinely cares about the dogs. She also puts a lot of thought into the layout of the downstairs and is good about giving the tired or less active dogs a place to relax while the others are playing. Luka can be a handful and can cause some stress like jumping up on the hot tub, but Ayu handled it in stride. She also made a point to make meals interesting and fun several times with various puzzle games. Luka is really smart so that is a fun thing for him to figure out. She had the kiddie pool out on hot days which Luka absolutely loves and also played with him and other dogs with the hose. She has a big plastic tub with sand the dogs can jump in to satisfy some digging urges and not ruin the yard. The dogs can come and go as they please outside in the back yard through the doggy door or the open sliding door if they are too big. She has a window right near her desk that she works at so she can still keep an eye on the back yard when they are outside playing. I wouldn't hesitate to use Ayu again and she will be our go to Dog Sitter and Doggy Day care person.
Luka had a great day at doggy daycare. He gets along very well with Ayu's dog Angel and all the other dogs that come. Today happened to be a lot of big dogs like him, so he wrestled and played his heart out. He came home and promptly got up on the couch and went to sleep.
Great communication. Tons of pictures and updates. Great dog area. Really really good.

------------------------------------ VACCINATION / SEX STATUS Your dog has to be up to date with their vaccinations (rabies, bordetella, DHPP). I need to have the records before you drop-off your dog for the stay. You can bring vaccination records to M&G or send it through Rover/email. I welcome unneutered males and in-heat females. However if your dog is in heat, I can only take her if I don't have other dogs scheduled for boarding yet and the stay will have to be exclusive. There is a $20 extra charge per day for exclusive boarding stay. Please note that I will still have regular daycare clients, I will separate your dog from them and have her stay in the main floor. ------------------------------------ BREED / SIZE I do not have breed or size preferences, I welcome any dog as long as it's a good match with the environment. ------------------------------------ INTERACTION WITH OTHER DOGS Please note that I accept all breed/size of dogs from different families at the same time. Your dog will have to be comfortable with other dogs in general. I will introduce dogs behind baby gate at first and always supervise their interactions to make sure all dogs get along nicely. I will separate and give time-outs if there are any signs of exhaustion or annoyance. If I have to leave house, I only mix dogs that have met several times and get along well. Daycare: Leash and food if they eat lunch Boarding: Leash | Food | Medication, vitamins, and supplies (if needed) | Dog bed or blanket (to make them feel homey) | Treats (only if your dog has restriction/sensitivity/allergy) Your dog has to wear collar with updated tags all the time during their stay. ------------------------------------ SUPERVISION DURING STAY My home office is in the basement, so I can supervise closely when the dogs play there and in the backyard. When I need to give time-outs or leave the house, I will separate the dogs. Depending on the dogs' need, I will use baby gates/playpens/crates/room to do so. I have indoor camera that covers all area of the doggy playspace as well as backyard camera with limited range. ------------------------------------ ACTIVITIES Angel is very friendly and playful, she loves other dogs more than anything else, she happily welcomes all dogs and shares her toys and humans with them. Your dog will have a companion and get their exercise running around with Angel (and other dogs), as well as playtime with humans (ball fetch/tug of war). We have plenty of toys (plushies, balls, chews, and Kongs) that your dog can play with. We are also into interactive/puzzle toys, we have 10++ puzzles for your pup to play when the day is slow. There are sandbox and kiddie pool in the backyard for your dog to dig and splash around on hot days. Please notify me if you prefer me to restrict your dog's access to any of the above. ------------------------------------ WALK / DOG PARK VISITS I rarely bring dogs for walks or to dog park when I host multiple dogs. I only go for walks or to dog park if I think the stimulation at home is not enough and I can make sure I am able to handle and supervise all dogs (2-3 max). Walks/park visits are not guaranteed unless specifically requested and there will be an extra charge for that. There is no charge for walks/dog park visits that are initiated by me. ------------------------------------ SLEEPING ARRANGEMENT Dogs usually sleep on dog beds and couch in the doggy playspace or in crates in the crate room if you prefer. I have playpen to separate dogs if needed. If your dog has severe separation anxiety and has to sleep near humans, they are welcome to sleep in our bedroom if they are potty-trained, well-behaved, and able to understand that they are not allowed on human bed. We have 3-strike policy for dogs jumping to our bed. They will need to sleep in the adjoining bathroom with baby gate up (they will still be able to see us) if they keep jumping to the bed. We will assess on case by case basis if your dog does not have human separation anxiety but you prefer for your dog to sleep in our bedroom. ------------------------------------ OTHER TREATMENTS / SERVICES (Free) I can accommodate raw-feeding and basic hygiene routine such as teeth-brushing and deshedding/fur-brushing if your dog allows me to do so. Let me know what your dog needs and I will help if I can. For stays longer than a week, I offer a free full bath (shampoo, conditioner, blow dry, brush) when needed/requested. I can trim a little hair/fur if needed, but I do not groom or cut nails, better leave those to the professionals :) ------------------------------------
