animal communicator + healer

Pet care experience

I’m a professional animal communicator And an insured and bonded house-sitter both privately & through Rover. I absolutely love what I do, I take pride in doing an excellent job and I’m excited to connect with you as a potential client! Please note that my farm and house-sitting rates ($100/day) are all-inclusive for your household — I take care of package + mail deliveries, gardening, medication administration, feedings, gas to/from hikes + trails, key pickup/drop-off within a certain radius and multi-pet care (chickens, dogs, cats, etc.) without added per animal fees. That being said, I do cap my services to what I can reasonably handle, so please be sure to fill out a profile for each pet with detailed care instructions. **Please note - I do not offer apartment-sitting at this time and I require a complimentary meet and greet for all house-sitting requests. I may also be accompanied by my partner for safety reasons.**

Safety, trust & environment

I spend time building trust with each individual animal personally and also remaining attentive to their needs. I’ll always contact you if anything feels amiss with the pets or house so that I can adjust accordingly. Having a cat of my own (who is my complete baby), I really want to instill a sense of trust in how I care for my animal friends. My family has worked in the veterinary field as emergency care staff and overnight boarding for as long as I can remember, so I have a lot of contact time in learning how to care for animals, rehabilitate wildlife and caring for sick/special needs animals. I definitely have a strong sense of responsibility for providing love and care to your animals and their home environment.

Information Aysha R. would like to know about your pet

I’d love to know your pet’s energy level and needs. I vibe best with pups who are well-trained and (optional) responsive to off-leash adventures at local trails. I find it helpful to house-sit animals who are also equally okay with taking long snoozes mid-day if I leave to run errands. As a house-sitter, I must disclose that I am not a suitable replacement for a lack of training as it relates to separation anxiety. Dogs who have developed severe COVID-related anxiety and/or destructive/aggressive tendencies without the presence of their owners are not a good fit for me. I also have an expectation that the animals I sit are well-socialized and responsive to commands (ie - no jumping on me or aggressive pulling while on walks.)

A typical day

You can definitely expect a whole lotta cuddles, dog kisses, naps together and play time. I usually do a morning and evening guided meditation with the animals I sit - it’s an amazing tool for pets who experience anxiety. Beyond that, I typically spend most of my time reading and relaxing at your home while on my house-sitting bookings. Please note that my rates ($100/day) are all-inclusive for your household — I take care of package + mail deliveries, gardening, medication administration, feedings, key pickup/drop-off within a certain radius and multi-pet care (chickens, dogs, cats, etc.) without added per animal fees.

While I often spend most of my time at your house as a “home base”, I tend to be most compatible with pets who are able to be left for a range of 4-6 hours, have mid-to-low energy and are generally calm/cuddly during the stay. On average, I typically spend 16-20 hrs of each day actually at your home. I tend to leave during my stays to go to the gym, an hour-long yoga class, working a shift at Psychic Sister or to visit many of our lovely farmer’s markets, or a community art class, but I generally try to avoid leaving for more than 4 hours at a time.
