Pet care experience
I work from home so can give your furry loved one lots of attention, snuggles, and exercise! I grew up on a farm around all kinds of animals and have always had dogs, cats and horses of all shapes, sizes, and breeds. I owned and trained German Shepherds for 30 years and now have three Australian Shepherds, so I am comfortable with big and small dogs. I have also worked at Tufts Veterinary Hospital, managed the original PetsHotel Plus when PetSmart bought it, and show my Aussies in obedience, barn hunt, agility and dock diving. With years of experience in many settings, I feel confident handling any situation that may arise.

HIGHLY recommend Ayris! Our dog, Wrigley, absolutely loved his time with her. We received numerous updates throughout the stay with photos and videos. There was a minor accident early on in the stay and Ayris handled it swiftly and updated us along the way. Her place is equipped for dogs that need a lot of space to exercise and she has many activities for the dogs (obstacles, running, her own dogs). She had all of his belongings prepared and set out for us upon arrival for easy pick up. This was our first experience with Rover as we’ve always boarded when we go on trips. Wrigley got 100x more out of this stay than he would have at a boarding facility (and so did we with the updates!).
Ayris was fantastic. She helped me out last minute, kept me in the know with pictures and updates, and took great care of my pup. Would def recommend and book again.
Ayris did an amazing job with my dog, who normally is really anxious being away from home. She sent updates frequently and I could tell she really cared for and loved my dog! I’ll most certainly only be taking my dog to her from now on for any needs. ❤️
This the second time Ayris baby sits my 9 month Catahoula. This time for 3 night. She kept me updated every day with pictures and all. She even had him play in a little pool on the hot days. She's awesome.

We are situated on one acre with a very large fenced in area for play and a separate potty area that is sanitized regularly. I take cleanliness and sanitation very seriously, both for my sanity and the dogs safety. We will be adding obstacles and agility equipment over the summer and I believe in daily enrichment and training for my dogs. I have a calm demeanor that helps animals feel relaxed and will do my best to follow their normal routine to minimize their stress while away from you. With an eye for detail and years of experience in veterinary care I can recognize signs and symptoms of illness and stress so you can relax knowing they are happy, loved, and well taken care of in a safe environment.

I would like to know their typical routine to be able to provide an atmosphere as much like home as possible. Are they aggressive to other dogs/people? Do they chase cats/chickens/rabbits? Are they house trained? Do they know any commands? What are their preferences?
A typical day
For my own dogs, I believe in daily training and enrichment activities. I hide treats for them to find, have licki mats, sniffari areas, etc, and have various puzzles. Your dog would enjoy lots of activities throughout their time with us. We live on one acre with a very large fenced yard and will be adding agility equipment and natural obstacles over the summer. My son loves to throw the ball for dogs and is excited to help out and meet/play with new dogs. We can accommodate all kinds of play types and have a baby pool for hot days and a tether tug for the pups that like to play tug o war.

Availability
Since I work from home your dog(s) will have lots of exercise, play, and snuggles in a secure backyard. We are sometimes gone for activities, but rarely for more than a few hours at a time. I am able to offer daycare, boarding, and extended stays at our home.
