*******CHECK OUT MY********* Instagram Account: am_bospet ********* 9/11/18 Featured on Rovers Instagram page. Check it out!************* *******FOR MORE CLIENTS****** Hello! My name is Ayana. I worked with Boston Dog walks for the past 7 years and have a huge love of dogs and cats. I’ve walked many different breeds and have experience with various temperaments and medical conditions. Walking dogs for a while I learned one of the biggest qualities to have is a calm temperament and patience with high energy, aggressive (protective), or timid pets. They can sense when you’re stressed so my main objective is for your pet to feel safe and comfy, along with you (owner) as well. Availability: At home three days out the week. Willing & flexible to work around your schedule I’m home during the weekday after 5pm and if you need references I can easily provide that to you. I can work with your schedule.

1 out of 5 stars. I can’t believe what just happened. TL;DR Ayana left my cat’s litter box dirty for days and weeks on end and didn’t notice my cat peeing everywhere outside the box. She then downplayed her actions, made excuses, blamed me instead, and blocked me before we could discuss a resolution. Ayana has many amazing reviews on this app, she presented as friendly and professional when we met, and her first short trial job with my senior cat went well (see my previous review). I booked her for four weeks of twice-daily drop-ins. But when I came home, just a few hours after her last drop-in, I was horrified to find DAYS worth (at least) of dirty pee-saturated litter built up in a massive clump in the box, and signs my cat had peed all over the bathroom and living room: under the sink, beside the toilet, in the shower, under the electric keyboard, and multiple places on the rug. I was cleaning for hours. It’s pure luck my poor cat doesn’t have a UTI—at least he relieved himself somewhere instead of holding it in. When I messaged her, Ayana outright admitted she let the mound of pee-clumped litter “grow bigger” from day one until “I can’t remember if it was the second or third week”. She also “didn’t notice” and wasn’t “focusing” on the many signs of pee outside the box. She displayed no awareness that dirty clumps should not be left in the box for days. Instead she claimed “our expectations were not aligned fully” around cleaning it. She then blamed me for not specifically requesting a “full clean” of the box so therefore she “left [the growing clump] as is until it was in the way”. I was livid. I took a day to cool down. I messaged again to focus on next steps—and found Ayana had blocked me. She got $1490 for this job and just cut short our conversation with the one-word message “Understood”. I sent full documentation of the incident to the Rover team. I even only requested a partial refund, recognizing Ayana at least didn’t screw up his food, water, or meds. A day later all they said was “we are unable to gesture a refund” with no explanation. Oh, but they do “highly recommend that [I] leave a review”. Beware, cat parents, because you might think you have found the “perfect sitter” on Rover, but even in a clear case of gross negligence and harm to your pet and home like this, there may be zero accountability or restitution. As for me, I will be finding a new sitter through friends and family instead of through this app from now on.

Great experience working with Ayana! She was great with updates, responses, etc. Didn't take long for her to become my shy cat's new best friend.

Information Ayana M. would like to know about your pet

I have no preferences. However, I do have a special love for pits!! I would like to know the general questions: - Breed and age of pet? - Do they have any medical needs? (allergies, medication) - How are they with other dogs(big/small) and/or cats? - Are there any training's that you want me to reinforce? - Do they have a favorite treat/food/toy? - Any special commands that they know? - Are they shy or friendly towards new people? - What’s your relationship like with your pet and why did you choose them or they choose you?

A typical day

Rain, shine, or snow (because Boston weather is crazy sometimes :) ) your pet and I will go on walks around the neighborhood. If it’s a quick walk I also have an back yard unfenced for them to explore while leashed. Whether your dog want to play fetch until they’re tired, socialize, sniff around, or just sit next my feet and enjoy a nice head pat I will make sure I accommodate their needs and wants during the walk/stay. On a walk or stay, I like to reinforce any training that’s implemented at home. I have a clicker (was used for my cat/other dogs) and my own treats (if okay with owner) I use for training. I also like to implement positive rewards with lots of verbal praises and belly rubs. Any activities, low to high energy, while your pet is in my care, will always be catered to their needs. Cats: I have plenty of cat toys and treat (if permitted by owner) for your pet. Periodic checks on them will be done in my care and pet/cuddle attention (if pet is okay with it) Boarding: *I ask that crates or bedding is provided. * For older dogs- I do have a lot of stairs outside my house but we can take it slow going up and down. For cat/dog, they would sleep in my living room and I have a closed off space to roam between the front sun room, my bedroom, and living room. Cats: They will have a closed off area to roam with secured window screens. I live on the second floor which has three windows facing the street, so they can look out the windows and watch birds fly by or have a nice nap.
