Personalized care for your DC Doggo
Pet care experience
I have grown up around dogs from litters of puppies to crate and rotate of foster dogs and all manner in between. I specialize in dealing with dogs with some anxiety, and can keep my dogs and yours separate if requested but your dogs must be crate trained for this to work. I am currently working part time around three to four days a week 4-6 hour shifts, but otherwise the dogs will be out and under my supervision. I crate dogs when I am not at home but am fine with them on the couch or bed the whole time I'm home. Just my part time jobs will be why I'm out of the house while watching your doggos. I have two medium crates and one large crate, the latter of which I use for my dogs typically at home. Three or four times a day I take my dogs into the fenced backyard, and once a day for walks (depending on the weather). There are dog toys with no squeakers on the floor in both rooms and blankets in the crate and on the couch for them as well as a large water bowl open to them all times. I feed all meals in crates to reduce possible conflict or stress.
Reviews
Awbrey always takes such great care of Lolo. He loves his time with her, I get constant updates, and he comes home happily tired. Thanks, Awbrey. I highly recommend.
My dog is always happy to see Awbrey and her pups! Awbrey sends pictures and updates regularly.
Another great stay with Awbrey. Thank you!!
Ginger (as always) enjoyed her stay!! Thank you!

I have a fenced shared backyard, so when I take the dogs to the backyard I will be supervising their play and relaxing time (lots of spots for sunning). I also utilize crates as I've stated for if I'm out of the house, or if the dogs need some time separate from each other. I would rather provide yours or my dogs with an enrichment Kong or snuffle mat for their crate time as long as that's within your dog's caloric needs.

Information Awbrey L. would like to know about your pet
As I've stated, for the time being I prefer dogs that are crate trained and not going to bark or howl for long periods of time while they are crated for my upstairs neighbors' sake. Play barking, alert barking, or adjusting to being in the crate are all perfectly understandable of course! My dogs like to play chase and wrestle, but are respectful of older dogs and puppies. If your dog is dog selective or nervous, I would like to do slow intros where the first day or so there is little direct interaction between the dogs so they have a calmer introduction. Happy to do meet and greets too, to figure out if their play styles match!
A typical day
Typically I have mornings off so I'll be up whenever your pups like to wake up, and we go to the yard first thing for any business they need to take care of. Then we'll have breakfast and a walk if the day is getting hot later. If it's winter we'll probably wait for it to warm up. There's plenty of toys and I am happy to play fetch or tug with your dog, unless they'd prefer to play chase or tug or wrestle with my two dogs. If I have a work shift I make sure we get some exercise in before crating, and then in the evening we have another long couple of backyard sessions and usually I'll watch a movie and see if there's any more play or cuddle time with all the dogs. I don't mind if they sleep on the couch or bed, but can adjust to your preference.

Availability
I work part time, so the longest I would be gone is 6 hour shifts with plenty of time that I'd be home to play with and care for your dogs. My schedule is not firm and with two weeks notice I can accommodate pretty much any drop off times, for shorter notice bookings I may need to have an earlier drop off or later pick up we can establish together.
