Growing up my house had both dogs and cats, making it a comfortable happy and loving environment for all of us. My parent's taught us to love and care for our fellow creatures, and to treat our pets as part of our family. As I got older and went to college I didn't have enough time to dedicate to a dog's needs on my own, so I adopted cats and took care of friends' dogs when they needed some help. Animals are part of what make this world so wonderful, and companion animals are a huge part of that. It's important that they get the attention and love that they need in order to thrive. Some animals have their quirks and need different attention than others, and I have experience with both nervous rescue dogs and shy cats. Sometimes they need a little extra time to get to know you, or need to be approached in a special way. I get that, and can work with their unique personalities.
