Pet care experience
A little about me: I am a full time graduate student (Go Dawgs) and lifelong dog lover. Caring for my clients' pets has been a part-time/seasonal job since joining Rover in 2018 and adds fun to my day as I work my way through graduate school. My partner and I would love to welcome your pup into our home! I am currently offering walks, drop-in visits, and selective boarding and doggy day care for the summer (June - mid-August). I say selective boarding and doggy day care only because I have a sweet dog (Molly - in profile picture) and want to be sure our pups get along before having them over. Molly is about 10 months old, a total cuddle bug, and a lover of all things fetch. She plays very well with other dogs and would love to have a playdate with your pup! While your fur-child is in our home, they will be treated like our own (e.g., lots of cuddles, lots of pets, and lots of photoshoots). My partner and I both enjoy having an extra pup in the house and our furry visitors always get plenty of love and attention! Avery gets five stars because Rover doesn't offer six! She was available on short notice and made my very shy, very nervous new rescue feel safe and loved while I was gone. She treated him like her own dog (who is wonderful) and gave him treats, his meds, walks, and all the space and attention he needed to not panic and be an anxious mess. I'll rebook her over and over and over!
Avery did a great job taking care of both Frankie and Clyde. The dogs seemed very relaxed from the pictures and when I picked them up. Clyde has a sore leg, and I requested that Avery limit his activity. I believe she did that, because Clyde wasn't overly sore when he came home from his visit.
Jock had a great time and was well taken care of :) we received several pictures 10/10 would recommend Avery! :):)
Avery was great. She was very responsive, sent lots of pics, and took great care of Scooby.

My fiance and I have a large backyard. While we do not have a fence, we have a very long runner that keeps dogs secure while still able to run and play! We also have a large Kong crate for those who do not want to transport their crate to our home.

How is your dog around other dogs? To be sure our home is a good fit for you pup, we prefer to do meet and greets prior to booking overnight stays or doggy daycare. Do you crate your dog for periods of the day/night? We are happy to work with you to be sure your pup sticks to their routine and your preferences.
A typical day
Our morning starts with taking our dog outside for some play to start the day. Throughout the day, we take our pup outside multiple times for bathroom breaks and playtime. At the end of the day, we might go for a long walk around our neighborhood or at a local park (we love Sandy Creek!).

Availability
I try to keep my calendar as updated as I can. I am available most days for keeping dogs overnight and would love to be the one to watch over your doggo. I work from home Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays over the summer, which is when I am most available for walks, drop ins, and doggy day care. However, my fiancé works from home full time. Since we work as a team, we are flexible and have a lot of availability.
