I grew up and live on a farm north of Charlotte where I have cared for dogs, cats, birds, fish, frogs, horses, goats, chickens, etc. I began pet sitting at the age of 13; however, according to family, I started letting our dogs out to potty just about as soon as I was able to walk to the door myself, still in diapers. I'm a natural. I graduated from Gray Stone Day School in 2019 with 30 college credits from Stanly Community College via dual enrollment. I was a tutor, club treasurer, and captain and varsity member of the cross country and track teams. I have volunteered with Atrium and Novant Health, working in their Emergency Room and at the Child Development Center, counseled children at various children’s camps, tended to bears, owls, raccoons, skunks, chinchillas, venomous snakes, etc. at a small zoo, and served as the sole receptionist and a bather at an award-winning grooming salon where I was responsible for transactions, scheduling, record keeping, virtual and in-person exchanges with clients, closing, occasional bathing, assisting in holding and calming aggressive or anxious dogs, walking dogs to and from their owners and play areas, etc. I occasionally edit, design graphics, and handwrite for clients via Upwork and plan to begin offering cleaning/organizing and photography services to supplement my pet-sitting income. My ultimate goal is to have a unique boarding facility of my own.
