Pet care experience
After having fallen in love with Richmond City since 2013, we decided to continue living here post-graduation. Both of us studied at VCU, where our focus included psychology, gender & women’s studies, film, biology, and chemistry. Growing up with pets is one of the most fulfilling aspects one can have in their life. Life at college doesn’t exactly allow us to bring our beloved family dog with us to the dorms, and many inner-city homes simply do not allow animals of any kind. After years of experiencing this, we wanted to reinvigorate our lives with the special love only dogs, cats, and other pets can offer. We hope that our lifelong experience taking care of dogs, cats, and birds will prove our dedication to the well-being of pets. Additionally, we have a plethora of experience house sitting dogs and cats for our friends and family, showing our trustworthiness with your pet.

Ava was fantastic! Would have her back anytime!
Ava spent a week in our apartment with our elderly French bulldog, Plumpy while we were on vacation. She sent us daily updates and pictures or videos which we eagerly looked forward to! Ava was so sweet to Plumpy and it looked like they had a great time together! She gave Plumpy her meds twice daily and kept to her feeding schedule as instructed. Returning to Richmond we almost missed our flight and Ava generously agreed to stay later than planned making our trip much less stressful than it could have been! Upon our return, we found the apartment in PERFECT order which was very welcome after a long day of travel. Book Ava for any dog care you might need. You won't regret it!
I haven’t been away from my pets in over a year. My “puppy” is 14 years old with medical needs and my kitty is 2 and very active. Ava and Allie were able to follow my rambling care instructions and busy medication schedule to make sure puppy received medications on time. They provided piece of mind while I was away by providing both text and picture updates twice a day. I would use Ava & Allie again!
Ava and Allie were completely awesome. We were nervous leaving our anxious dog, as well as our new house, for 15 days. However, they immediately put us at ease. They sent daily pictures and stayed on top of everything. We came back to a clean house and freshly watered plants, but most importantly, a happy and healthy dog. It was clear that they loved him like he was their own while we were gone. We would gladly book them again.

I love exploring Richmond’s different boroughs while on daily dog walks. I typically commute all over the city throughout the day to get to each pet, but that doesn’t stop me from going the extra mile! I’d love to take your dog on a hike by the river or to a local dog park!
