Hello Pet Parents, My name is Austin, I’ve been on and off pet sitting for 9-10years! Recently I’ve come back to full time sitting on Rover and am absolutely loving it. I have a lot of experience with pets and actually had been studying animal behavior and was a previous veterinary student (I changed my mind on the career path when I realized how depressing it truly is). Regardless, I do have quite a bit of basic knowledge under my belt when it comes to keeping your pets happy and healthy while you’re away. Please feel free to message me to book! Austin is simply the best! You can tell from the moment you meet her and she interacts with your pets that she understands pet personalities. Even though our cat can be a drama queen, Austin took her time getting to know her, and gave her that space to get comfortable with her. She was communicative, prompt and took great care of our Pepper. Couldn't recommend her higher
Very loving to my little Buddy. Went out of her way to make sure he wasn’t lonely when I was gone. Couldn’t have asked for more.

I follow the normal routine of the pet parent. If they usually walk their dog at 6am then I guess I’m waking up at 5:45 that day. Although additionally to their normal routine, I’ll incorporate them into my routine. Say I have another dog that I have to walk, and your dog is okay with other dogs, I’ll bring them with me for a “pup play date” if you will haha. Or if I have to leave for a longer bit of time I’ll ask you if maybe I can just bring them with me. Usually the only time I have to leave is when I drive to Carson to see my family. Or to do another meet and greet. Otherwise just be prepared for at least one picture a day, along with updates twice a day.

I have no breed preferences but would prefer to know if a dog is a bit more on the aggressive side or on the chill/ laid back don't need much attention type. Every dog is different and has different needs for affection. I want to make their experience as comfortable as possible.
A typical day
As an independent young woman I think it's critical to pursue mindful activities like hikes, trail walks, adventurous strolls, and trips to the beach (when the weather is warm enough). I also have a personal interest in baking and creating "DIY toys/treats/etc" for my pet pals to take home!

I’m a freelance writer and work part time as an optical tech, here in Carson City. (3 days a week, with an hour lunch to come home and check in). But other than that my attention belongs to your fur family.
