As my dog grew older and began to have more medical needs, it became necessary to hire someone to care for him during the day. We chose Austin because of his background in emergency medicine. We could not have been more pleased with our decision to hire Austin. He came to our home and cared for our dog daily for two years, including taking him on multiple long walks each day and helping him around the house when necessary. We had to put our dog down earlier this year. While we were, of course, sad, we took solace in knowing that he lived out his final years as a happy dog in good company. Austin is currently helping us adopt our next dog, and we will definitely be using him for our future dog needs.

People often say a dog is man's best friend. This is something I never truly appreciated until I experienced Austin's relationship with his dog, Odin. Over the past several months living with Austin I've had the opportunity to witness a great bond form as Austin has trained Odin through puppyhood. Being a great friend doesn't mean allowing an untrained, wild dog to own the house. Quite the opposite, through Austin's constant positively reinforcing behavioral training, Odin has become the best trained dog I've ever met. Even more impressive, Austin's amazing relationship has rubbed off on other dogs they've been around. For instance, at the Poconos they were afraid his cousin's old, scared dog wouldn't get along well. By the end of the weekend, their dog was eager to keep our four mile walk going, quite the departure from typically needing to be carried home. I am confident any dog would have a fantastic time joining Austin and Odin's pack for a walk through some incredible paths.
