Hi, my name is Austin and I LOVE animals! I have worked as a kennel technician for 4 years for an amazing vet, which gave me an advance knowledge of pet health and care. I’ve cared for at least 45 animals at once during most holiday weekends, while running the clinic’s kennel. Being around dogs just makes me happy, so when considering becoming a Rover caretaker, it was an easy choice. I watch my two pups like a hawk, and would do the same for your dogs. Those that know me best would say I'm a kind, caring and a quality individual.

We are so happy we found Austin. We were so nervous about using Rover and finding someone who would give our dog love and attention. Austin was so gracious about meeting us in advance and is so personable and kind that we knew Kane would be in great hands. Austin sent us daily updates, including pictures and was super flexible when our flight home was delayed. I highly recommend Austin, if you are on the fence at all don’t be, he’s amazing. His two sweet girl pups were also so accepting of our high energy boxer, we couldn’t be more appreciative.
I boarded my 2 pups with Austin over a weekend. He was so kind and thoughtful about keeping me informed as to their activities and care as well as setting up the boarding prior to that weekend. He has 2 sweet pups that play well with others!!!! I highly recommend using him for doggie care ! Lucy and Blu thank you too

I have a fenced in yard, and a dedicated bedroom that I use for my dogs, giving them a queen bed to sleep on, a window to look out of, music to listen to, and overall, a place they’ll feel the most at home in, though I welcome them to be anywhere in the house. My two dogs love to play with each other and other dogs, so they get plenty of exercise! Water is always available to them. When I walk them, there is a nice park next to my neighborhood. My dogs are truly living their best lives, and if I’m caring for your fur baby, I’ll ensure that they are living their best life as well! I understand that leaving your pet(s) with someone you don’t know can be extremely nerve racking! If you’re interested in booking with me, you’re more than welcome to bring your dog(s) over before booking, to have them meet me and my two pups so you’ll have a clear vision of what your pet(s) vacation will be like when you’re away. Being a caretaker, my priority is your pet(s) happiness and well being. If after meeting me and my pups, you feel it’s not a perfect fit for you or your fur baby, I will absolutely respect your decision to book with someone else.

My fence is only 4’ high. If you’re dog is a fence jumper or escape artist, you may consider another caretaker. Other than that, they’ll need to get along well with other dogs and they must be housebroken (unless they are a young puppy).
A typical day
My pups have turned my backyard into their own racetrack. They love to go outside and run laps, chasing each other. I play fetch with them inside, outside and at the park next to my neighborhood. Mornings are usually high energy, then midday naps (as I work), more playing in the afternoon and evenings.

Availability
I work from home full time. My desk is next to the back door, so I’m able to watch my dog (and yours), and know what they’re doing at all times. I rarely leave my house, mostly because I just enjoy being home.
