I have a decade of experience caring for dogs of all shapes and sizes from Chihuahua to Great Pyrenees from my time working for Time For A Walk in Arlington, Virginia. I have experience administering various medication to dogs (flea, tick, heartworm, various pills, etc.) as well as training to spot symptoms of sickness. I also have training in using every kind of leash from full harnesses to snout leads and even as far as bluetooth vibrating collars. Additionally, I can train dogs basic commands (sit/stay/heel) or reinforce training the owner has done. In college, I spent time volunteering for the local animal shelter working with dogs and helping prospective "parents" meet the shelter dogs for adoption. Throughout my life I've had three dogs, Sadie (husky, golden retriever, yellow lab mix), Trixie (miniature pinscher, beagle mix), and Coco (chihuahua mutt, not really sure what she is, was a rescue with poor documentation). Other breeds I have experience caring for include Rhodesian Ridgebacks, Pitbulls, Bulldogs, Golden Retrievers, Westies, Boxers, Great Pyranese, English Foxhoud, Husky, Dachshund, Chocolate Labs, German Shepard, and one Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. A little about me, I grew up as a military brat living all over the nation but primarily in Springfield, Virginia (10 minutes outside of DC). I earned my Eagle Scout while living in Southern Pines, North Carolina. I did my undergrad at the University of Alabama (double majored in Public Relations and Political Science) and am currently a second year law student at UNC. I plan to adopt a dog during my final year of law school. After graduating I hope to pass the North Carolina bar and work as a prosecutor, in a firm, or start my own business.
