I'll keep pace with a dog on walks
Pet care experience
After six years of dog walking & sitting, I’ve come to understand that all dogs (and cats) have their own personalities- and I love getting to know each pup’s quirks. I'm very conscious of what does and does not make individual dogs happy, and will adjust my behavior to suit their personalities. Being a dog & cat owner myself, I understand how important it is to send regular, detailed updates about a pet’s care. Alongside messages regarding their care, mood and any concerns I might have, I like to send photos so that owners can see how their little ones are doing. I’m an early riser, so I would be able to take your dogs on walks the moment they wake up and also later on in the afternoon and evening. I'm looking forward to getting know the dogs (and their owners) in my community!

A pet’s safety and comfort is of utmost importance to me. I’d like to adhere to their regular care schedule as much as possible. I will make sure that they are not left alone for more than four hours, unless otherwise discussed. I like to be as transparent as possible in my communication with owners so that they have the opportunity to let me know about any concerns they have- and so they won’t come home to any surprises. I do my best to ensure that the homes I sit are left just as I found them (clean home, any accidents cleaned to the best of my ability, etc.). And, of course, I’m going to give them as many pets and provide as much play time as possible!
Information Aurora C. would like to know about your pet
I would like to meet any dog before hand and find out whether they like to play or not, if they like to take long or short walks, and if there are any routes owners would prefer me to take them on. I'd also like to know of any injuries or special needs I would need to be conscious of while caring for your pet. I generally prefer to care for fairly active dogs, but would also be okay with taking care of one who's more mellow. If you would like to do a practice walk, I require that a check-in be booked.
A typical day
I will provide a minimum of three walks each day. If your pup is playful, I will happily play tug-of-war, fetch, or run around the house until they are tired. When possible, and with the owner’s permission, I love taking dogs out to my favorite trails for a long hikes.

Availability
I currently work 10 hour days with Howard County Monday-Thursday and 5-8 hour shifts at a part time position on Fridays. So, as of now, I am only available for housesitting Friday through Sunday. I am available to do walks or check-ins on Saturdays & Sundays.
