Pet care experience
*I am fully insured* I have rescued, fostered, trained and loved animals for over 15 years. I've cared for dogs (and cats) of all sizes and breeds with all kinds of needs, including anxiety, medicinal or behavioural, working with charities and owners alike to support their needs. I work from home full time, so my own rescue dog can tell any potential guests that care is top notch and round-the-clock, with regular walks to the park and further afield. My home is a cosy, relaxed environment for animals to feel safe and looked after when their favourite people might be unable to have them for a short while. My care is specific to each animal in my charge, according to their needs and their owner's requests. I will adhere strictly to the requests of pet's owner regarding rules, training and routines, of course. Like Mabel is to me, I understand that your pet is one of the most important things in the world to you and it's my job to help keep them safe when you trust me with them.

Gussy is great! She had a our greyhound overnight, was really flexible with timings and he came back relaxed & happy.
Gussy was extremely helpful with the run up to Ralph’s first visit replying quickly and agreeing to a meet & greet beforehand. His overnight stay went very well, I had updates & photos of him having a lovely walk & swim (his favourite activity) with Gussy’s other dogs. He was relaxed & happy upon collection having obviously had a stress free stay. Would highly recommend Gussy who comes across as extremely knowledgeable & loving carer for your pet..would certainly book again..
Gussy was very responsive in the run up to our booking. She instantly put us at ease at the drop off, given it was our first time using the app, and is clearly very knowledgeable about dogs. Murphy had a lovely time playing with Gussy and her dogs - we would not hesitate to ask her to look after him again.
Poppy had a lovely first time with Gussy and I felt totally confident leaving her. I will be very happy to leave Poppy in her care again.

My garden is fully walled, the house is cosy and calming, strangers rarely come in and are managed when they do so as not to cause alarm. I also always lead dogs where there may be unsafe areas or stress markers, and ensure I have their vet's number stored in case it's needed.

I need to know your dog's routine, likes and dislikes and any quirks. It's very important I know if they have any triggers or things that cause them stress so I can manage those, especially in social situations. Also I like to keep things close to their home routine so there is no such thing as too much detail!
A typical day
We always do morning walks, lots of daytime wees and evening walks to the local valley or woodlands. We play ball, go jogging, hide and seek for treats...anything fun that the dogs enjoy.

Availability
I work from home full time, so I'm lucky to be a calming presence throughout the day for any animal in my care. Usually, we have morning walks followed by feeding, snuggles and loo breaks throughout the day, and an early evening run around to work up an appetite before bed!
