Certified Professional Pet Sitter🐾

Pet care experience

Hello, my name is Audrey! I have grown up with pets my whole life, and started professionally pet sitting Summer 2007, caring for a variety of pets for family and friends, then joined Rover Fall 2014, establishing a clientele in northern Chicago. I currently work full-time at as a Vet Tech at a local vet clinic, and I foster and volunteer for a local humane society, caring for their cats at the kennel facility. I also worked part-time at a pet grooming salon where I bathed dogs and cats while tending to their needs, and at an equestrian center, handling horses and aiding the ranch hands. I currently have two lovely and affectionate ginger cats, Beast and Belle.

Audrey was amazing! She was very thorough and interested in getting to know Mia and her care. Audrey was very professional and I was comfortable with her and confident in her understanding of animals and experience. Audrey walked Mia twice during my 12 hour work shift and gave Mia her medication. She is an excellent communicator, professional and reliable but most importantly she seems to really enjoy taking care of her clients. I was very happy with her care and look forward to booking her regularly.

Audrey was a very experienced and caring pet sitter! She was very informed and made sure to get all the necessary information before looking after my cat. During the sitting time, she was very responsive with helpful descriptions of her drop in visits and pictures. Would recommend her to others!

Audrey sat our 1 year old golden for a weekend, and we had a great experience. She is very communicative and made us feel very comfortable and confident in leaving our dog in someone else’s care. She left our home very neat and tidy. Our experience was a 10/10, we would definitely recommend Audrey to friends looking for pet care.

Safety, trust & environment

I offer professional pet care services to pets in the comfort of their home when their owners are away for an extended period of time. Having a professional pet sitter is a great option to care for pets and maintain their care routine in their environment, which greatly helps reduce stress and minimize exposure to illness. Pet sitting also benefits the home keeping it in order and deters potential housebreaking, all while communicating daily reports and updates to the owner, giving peace of mind.

Information Audrey R. would like to know about your pet

Before booking, I would like to know how many pets would be under my care and if there are any training procedures or limitations I should be aware of and enforce. For example, what specific words and hand signals are used for training commands? Should I avoid letting pets jump on furniture or lick when they greet people? Are they allowed throughout their home or kenneled when left alone? As it is the owner's home, the owner's rules shall be applied to provide consistency for their pets. I would also like to be informed about any special needs the pets might have, such as medications or possible behavioral concerns (food aggressions, separation anxiety, temperament with other animals or strangers, etc.). Anything of the sort, please express it so I am aware and more understanding of their needs. I require all clients create a profile for each of pet. Please fill them out thoroughly and honestly with a current photo, updated care instructions, vet information, plus any special requirements they may have and so on. This way I will have an itinerary of the pets information I can refer to during my stay. I am completely against breed discrimination, so I have absolutely no breed preferences!

A typical day

HOUSE SITTING Overnight care provided in the pet's home. Service includes staying overnight, feeding meals, administering medications, walks and playtime, disposing pet waste, household tasks (bringing in mail, watering plants), and quality time! Small pets (birds, fish, rodents, reptiles) are charged Additional Pet rate per enclosure (cage, tank, pen). I work as a full-time Veterinary Technician, so pets may be left alone 8 hours during the day. If you're pet is not able to be left unattended that long, I recommend having a separate dog walker for during the day. DROP-IN VISITS ❗️ FOR REPEAT CLIENTS ONLY ❗️ Quick Drop-in care for pets while owner is away, includes feeding meals, administering medications, cleaning and disposing pet waste, household tasks (bringing in mail, watering plants) and quality time! Visits can be booked up to 3x a day in the morning (7am–11am), afternoon (11am–3pm), and/or evening (3pm–7pm). DOG WALKING ❗️ FOR REPEAT CLIENTS ONLY ❗️ Private walks for client's dogs. Service includes leashed dog walking around the client's neighborhood or, due to inclement or hazardous weather (temperatures below 22º F or above 85º F, rain storms, blizzards, etc.), quickly letting the dog outside to potty with quality time followed afterward, along with a treat and fresh water given. If client has more than one dog, they can be walked together or separately in the allotted time of service. PET TAXI ❗️ FOR REPEAT CLIENTS ONLY ❗️ Driving service of safely transporting pets for clients. I can drive pets to pick up or drop off between locations such as vet visit, grooming appointment, daycare, etc. Small pets (e.g. cats, birds, fish, rodents, reptiles) must be secured for transport and will be charged Additional Pet Rate per enclosure. I charge $5 for every 5 minutes (i.e. 1-5 minutes is $5, 6-10 minutes is $10, etc.) one way. BATHING Add-on service for pets, in client's home or at a local Pet Wash. Bath choice for shampoo and conditioner between Hypoallergenic, Oatmeal, or Deshedding. Service includes a head-to-tail assessment, nail trimming, ear cleaning, and teeth cleaning, finishing up with a blow dry and brushing. Price depends on size of pet. - BOOKING POLICIES - • MEET & GREET: I require all potential new clients to first schedule a Meet & Greet before booking services with me. Meet & Greets must be scheduled at least 1-2 weeks in advance before requested service dates, otherwise the booking will automatically be declined if it's requested less one week in advance. • PAYMENT CONFIRMATION: If a booking is requested and I have guaranteed my availability to offer services, the client must pay to confirm the booking. If a booking is not paid by the client within 72 hours of confirmation, I will archive the request to keep my Rover calendar updated. If after archiving the client is ready to pay and the dates are still available on my calendar, then I will accept the payment to confirm the booking. • LAST MINUTE BOOKING FEE: If a service is requested 72 hours or less in advance, a fee of 30% to the total cost of the booking will be charged. • WEEKEND FEE: For any and all services booked on the weekend (Saturdays and/or Sundays), the client will be charged an additional 20% of the service cost toward the booking. • KEY POLICY: For safety and liability reasons, I will not hold onto clients spare keys outside of services. I suggest storing a spare key in a lockbox, installing an electronic lock on the front door, allowing access through a garage via code panel, communicating with concierge, or other secure options for me to access the home that I approve. If you have any questions or concerns regarding these policies, we can discuss these via messaging or during our Meet & Greet.

I am Certified Professional Pet Sitter (CPPS) and a member of Pet Sitters International (PSI). My goals involve making a career working with and caring for animals, first by establishing a pet care service company and in time certify myself as a Vet Tech, Dog Trainer, Pet Groomer, Animal Behavior Consultant, then eventually become a Veterinarian with my own rescue establishment. To put it simply, I have a deep love for animals and can't see myself living without them, so what better way to share my love than to care for your pets in the comfort of their own home?
