I have grown up with and pet sat all kind of animals, mostly dogs but I'm also comfortable and familiar around birds and cats. I live in Everett in a rambler style home, so no big stairs for the older dogs to try to climb. We are on a flag lot which means we are in a house behind another house so it is much safer for our pets and keeps them away from any street traffic. Our large backyard is fully fenced and has a small doggy pool for those hot days. We have a doggy door that leads to the fully fenced back yard or we can use the slider door. I have a 1 1/2 year old border collie/german shepherd mix who is so excited for doggy play dates and sleep overs. He can get a bit excited at first but that wears off fairly quickly. He loves to play with all sizes and ages. He learns quickly from the other dogs and knows when play time is over. I have been to 4 six week dog/puppy training classes, as well as completing puppy kindergarten class at Ahimsa Dog Training. I'm comfortable around dogs of all ages and sizes.
