While I have been caring for my own pets all my life, it wasn't until 6 years ago that my circumstances allowed me to really spread my animal "wings" (so-to-speak). It was then that I became very involved with animal rescue work and have been working with, caring for, and learning about dogs and cats non stop ever since. In addition to animal rescue, I have also worked in an established daycare/boarding center in Durham, NC (before moving here to Palm Coast) and gained much experience caring for several dogs at one time. Pet care has become my life, and, now, is my sole distraction. My passion (obsession, really!) is in dog behaviors and instincts. I love learning different styles and techniques of training and understanding what makes our pets "tick". Some behaviors I excel at handling are separation anxiety, fear and nervousness, crate training, potty training, and basic obedience. But it's not just about the cats and dogs! I also have a LOT of experience caring for chickens, horses, birds, snakes, ferrets, rabbits, fish, and goats. I pretty much love every creature I come upon! Yes, even the snakes!! Regardless of my personal feelings, I truly believe that it is imperative that each pet have the same consistent care and routine their families have them established on. With that in mind, I am incredibly flexible in all things. If you don't allow pets on furniture in your home or do not allow human food or anything else, I will carry that through to my interactions with them. Your rules are my rules! The least amount of confusion and disruption as possible is so important for them. I also think it's extremely important to have the same amount of care for YOU during your time away from your furkids! While in your home, it's your sanctuary and to be respected at all times! I know you will want to know how your furbabies are doing often and will want to see lots of pictures/videos. I strive to do just that! At my house, we have 3 cats and 4 dogs as well as fishtank and 2 tanked snakes. So a mixed household is right up my alley. One last thing, I have been on the client end more times than I can count, and know better than anyone the desperation of needing help immediately, as well as the unsettling feeling of entrusting your home and loved ones to a stranger. I have taken my own experiences and integrated them into my business so that you can feel confident and at ease in choosing me to care for your pets.
