Pet care experience
I've been around dogs, cats and every farm animal since I was born. By the time I was in college we'd housed and cared for 12 rescued puppies and dogs and at least as many cats. I trained my last dog, a big, dopey Golden Retriever, as a puppy. We spent nearly every day of his life together, and I cared for him when he was diagnosed with cancer until he passed recently. I miss caring for pets so much but am not prepared to get another dog of my own. I'd love to give those pets and cuddles to your furry friends. *** I am no longer accepting sits where animals will need to sleep in the bed with me, or will bark and whine if they do not. Caring for animals is important to me, but my sleep, health and safety are also important ***

Audra has been amazing.
Audra took such wonderful care of my dogs! I have an Aussie who requires a lot of exercise and attention, Audra made sure she was exhausted by the end of each day. I also recently got a puppy from the shelter who was still potty training, Audra dealt with the accidents like a pro and with no complaints! I couldn’t recommend Audra enough! My dogs loved her and I’ll definitely be asking Audra to dog sit in the future! It brought me so much peace of mind on my 5 day dogless vacation.
Could not have been happier with the care that Audra provided for my dog and cat while my husband and I were getting married out of state. She was communicative, trustworthy, and my pets seemed to love her. I feel like we really lucked out finding her!
Audra is so great with our puppy!! She is very professional and responsive and our fur baby loves spending time with her. We would highly recommend using her for your sitting or overnight stays!

How I care for your pet(s) in your home will be based largely on any instructions you give me. If your dog eats at 7:30 and 6:00, I'll be sure to feed at that time. If your cat likes to play with toys, we'll play with toys. If your dog needs to lap cuddles, I'll oblige. My biggest goal here is to care for your pets the way they would be cared for when you're around (maybe with a little added spoiling if they can have home made treats or toys). *my one exception is that due to a few bad experiences. I am no longer accepting sits where the pets will need to sleep in the bed with me*

I cannot accept sits where anyone smokes inside the residence and will not take on any where the animals must sleep in the bed. For your pet: Are there any allergies? Special needs for exercise, diet or sleep? How does your dog do on walks? Are they friendly with other dogs (specifically if they have aggressive tendencies extreme enough to warrant extra caution on leashed walks). Does your dog have anxiety? Do your pets have trouble sleeping with a sitter? Does your pet have anxious incontinence?
A typical day
I'm an active person so walking and running with your dog is an option. I really love taking dogs to the pet store for a special toy or treat (when permitted).

Availability
I work full-time remote for myself, which means my office is anywhere and my schedule is whatever I want it to be. I like to take frequent breaks when working and, even though I don't have a dog of my own right now, I take myself for walks everyday. I could just take your fur babies with me! I do have after-work and weekend extracurriculars that I will still need to attend while I watch your pet(s). If you are looking for 24/7 care, I cannot provide that, but I can be with them during the workday, at nights and for big chunks of time on the weekends.
