I cannot recommend Aubrey. She neglected our special needs cat, did not adhere to the agreed upon expectations, and caused us to cut short our trip and immediately hospitalize our cat. We had met with Aubrey before our trip to do a meet and greet and get a sense of the care she could provide. We let her know we would be leaving at 1am on Friday and we were looking for overnight stays between 8pm and 8am as well as checking in during the day. Aubrey accepted those arrangements and agreed to 2 drop in visits during the day for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday as well as two overnight stays on Friday and Saturday. On Friday her door code was used at 7:30 PM. She did not drop in during the day. I asked her in the Rover App if we had originally discussed drop in visits and she replied with “Tomorrow I will. It was a busy day.” That is not what we agreed to and literally what we were paying her for. The next day she arrived at 3:16 PM for a drop in visit. This was her only visit. At 10:47 PM I asked her what time she was planning on being over at the house. She responded with a family member being in the hospital but that she would be there within an hour. I woke up at 2:30 AM worried and when I didn’t see her code was used at our front door, I reached out again. She said she had fallen asleep and misunderstood what we were expecting. I can tell you, we were expecting her to be there “in the next hour or so”. There was a little back and forth. She said she was heading over now, then going in the morning, then heading over now, then heading over early tomorrow. We told her we were reaching out to Rover for a replacement.

I have a pug that Aubrey has taken care of when I am away and she treats her exactly as I do. Aubrey engages interactions. She plays with her and cuddles with her. My pug gets excited when she goes to her house and I have to leave, I always feel confident my pug is in great hands!
