...because the NOSE KNOWS best!

Pet care experience

Why the nose jargon? Although the synonymity of a wet dog nose and overall health isn't medically sound, it still conjures that classic image of a good old-fashioned happy dog (or cat!). It's also my favorite way to be greeted upon getting home: nose first, excited to say hello and give a good slobber! All of this to say, the nose knows how to take care of your BFFs (best furry friends, duh)! Whose nose is that, anyway? That righteous schnoz belongs to my old man hound dog, Oliver. That nose, along with its two brother noses, prefers to stay at home where it's nice and comfy. I know this nose can't be the only one...we're on the trail to find others like his! I'm a dog mom of three & an active animal welfare advocate, so I know firsthand the great importance of ensuring our companion animals' comfort and safety. I offer pet sitting services for dogs and cats, although I won't turn down fish feeding or bunny babysitting either! Not only does it cost me an arm and a leg to board all three of my dogs, but they don't enjoy it. No matter how high quality of a boarding operation I choose, I always know they will be stressed and exhausted upon my return. I realized having someone stay with my pack in my home is the only way to go! It can be tough to find someone you trust enough not only to care for your animals, but to leave in your home as well. This is where my involvement with animal rescue comes in to play. I'm a well-regarded animal advocate in our Atlanta community and I successfully rejuvenated and led a 501c(3) nonprofit animal welfare organization in San Jose, CA before recently moving back to Atlanta. My resume is extensive and readily available - just ask; I'm happy to send you a copy and provide references! I am a one-woman operation, so you can trust you'll receive the quality care you're promised without hassle or worry. I offer in-home pet sitting (in YOUR home) including overnight stays. If you'd rather, I offer dog sitting in MY home (apologies, but I am not equipped to offer this service for cats in my home). Does your dog or cat take medication? No problem - I'm totally comfortable with handling basic medical needs while you're gone and I'm even happy to tack on a nail trim or bath for an extra charge. I also offer standard dog walking services if you simply need help giving your buddy a break during long work days. I require a pre-booking consultation (aka a meet & greet with the pet(s) and the pet parent) before arranging any services. This provides you with a great opportunity to meet me in person and discuss your pet's particular needs, as well as allowing me to get to meet my four-legged clients!

This was our dog's first extended stay and I can't give enough praise to Aubrey. It's wonderful to have peace of mind when you travel and Aubrey gives just that. My dog is a bit insecure in new places but Aubrey and her pack made my pup feel right at home. Loced the photos and updates. Aubrey is very experienced and I couldn't be happier.

Beaux has stayed with Aubrey two times now. He is happy and tuckered out when I go to get him. I couldn't ask for a better sitter. Aubrey is an experienced professional. She has a great layout with open spaces for the dogs to play and rest inside and segregated open areas in her fenced backyard for them to have outside time. Beaux has a new friend.

Information Aubrey B. would like to know about your pet

I specialize in "silver paws care" for our elderly canine friends. My own dogs are getting up there in age and my household makes a peaceful, laid back, restful environment that is ideal for the older crowd. Because of my volunteer experience in shelter vet hospitals and extensive medical fostering, I am very comfortable administering medications and following special care instructions. I have no breed preferences / restrictions; all are welcomed. I have a basic new client form that asks all relevant questions and allows clients to tell me whatever they think I need to know about their pets. There's plenty of space to indicate all quirks, cuteness, concerns, and FYIs. If dogs are to stay in my home for boarding or daycare, I require a copy of current vaccinations. That's about it!

A typical day

I live in a quiet neighborhood that is great for short walks. I'm also happy to provide field trips for hikes and such at an extra charge for dogs that need a bit more than the standard "around the block" adventure. While home, we'll spend time playing indoors and outdoors, relaxing on the couch, snuggling, and exploring the environment. I have 3 dogs, so there's always a good pack here to provide playtime & stimulation. I don't expect them to be together all day; dogs need play breaks to recharge just like we do. My house & yard are set up with different sections for separate hang out time as appropriate. I'm always home, so much of the stimulation your dog gets while here comes from interaction with me, too.
