A few things about me: - I graduated with a double major in media studies and Spanish (May 2022) and will be attending Arizona State University to study for my master's in investigative journalism (fall 2023) - I just moved to Phoenix with my fiancé and we live in a one bedroom apartment in a safe area with lots of places to take a walk at. - I’m 23, love photography, anything artsy, running and just being outside - I have a laidback and kind personality, which I think helps pets become comfortable around me - I love hanging out with pets and seeing their own unique quirks and personalities - I am a direct communicator and try to make the pet-sitting experience as easy as possible for the owner. - Pet sitting is my absolute favorite "gig" I do for work. I have always made easy connections with animals and enjoy spending time with them. Pet care experience: - I grew around a farm + dog breeder (labs, Coton de Tulears) where my grandma taught me how to raise and take care of her dogs and puppies (also chickens, cows, goats and pigs!) - In high school, I took a course to become a certified veterinary assistant through the Indian Capital Technology Center. - Throughout high school and college, I volunteered at the local humane society walking dogs + cleaning pens. - I have used Rover for over 5 years and have watched 50+ pets - I have experience in senior care such as giving shots or oral medication - I have experience in training puppies with walking, tricks and of course potty-training! It is not uncommon for me to train a puppy a new trick before going home like shake or roll over (especially if requested)
