Pet care experience
I have been caring for animals for over 15 years. I started my doggy day care business at 19 years old while I also managed a popular groomer/boarding in San Diego. I have provided dog sitting and walking services ever since. I also foster animals, and provide hospice care for elderly cats and dogs. I specialize in geriatric, and special needs animal care. I take a holistic approach, have a vet on call and aim to make your babies as comfortable and loved as possible. I have a young child in my home who has been raised around animals. She will not have access to your pet unless you are comfortable with the interaction. I prefer not to have pets in my home that are proven aggressive, however, I am willing to care for these babies outside of my home :). PROCEEDS FROM YOUR BOOKING ARE DONATED TO SHARC SD, a club that provides social/recreation, wellness, and independence services for adults with disabilities in our community.

They took care of my 1 and a half year old Golden Retriever(Simba) for 4 days. Every day she sent us the picture of Simba and gave us information about him. So we were comfortable. My dog is very hyper and doesn’t like to be without us. But it was clear that he loved Ashton. Simba was happy to see us, but he didn't forget to say goodbye to Ashton. He looked very happy, clean and well. Ashton gave us squeeze toys and a picture of Simba in a frame. I want to thank her for taking good care of my dog!☺️?
It doesn’t get any better than Ashton for your boarding needs! She is extremely knowledgeable, personable and experienced. She took the time at drop off to lay out her care plans for our dog and was connected to us leading up to the overnight care through the entire stay. Our dog felt so at ease from the start and we were able to enjoy our time away without any worries. We will no doubt look to book Ashton’s services in the future. You should all do the same.
It was our first time leaving our 9 month puppy Luna. I’m so grateful that Ashton and her family were able to take her with only a couple of days notice. They took wonderful care of her she came back so happy. We will definitely be leaving Luna with Ashton again soon!

I prefer not to have aggressive animals in my home, but will consider them under certain circumstances, like if they are crate trained and if I have realistic time and space to keep them space at the time of booking.
A typical day
We live in a pet friendly community with plenty of walking opportunities! Your pet can expect to play games, have solo yard time, regular social interaction, treats, cuddles and lots of love. I am also able to handle training and special needs pets. Our community also has a doggy wash station and your pet wash is free!

Availability
I work from home and have a very flexible schedule! I have plenty of time and love for your babies! I also work with people with mild intellectual disabilities who are in my home regularly and LOVE animals. They have asked me to start petsitting again, so that they can help me spoil these precious fur babies, who will in return provide some joy for these lovely humans.
