Pet care experience
I grew up taking care of our many family dogs (collies, german shepherds, borzoi, cocker spaniels, and a variety of All-American mutts). For the past 6 years I have had dogs of my own - including my current best buddy, a male golden retriever/border collie mix named Pecos. I don't have any professional dog experience, but I have gone through many obedience training programs with my own dogs and can help encourage good manners while you're away. If any emergencies arise, I'll always communicate clearly and quickly so that you can make the best decision for your pup. I can't wait to love on your pup.

This was our first time using a dog sitter we did not personally know. We are very particular about who we let take care of our dogs. After meeting with Ashton, we knew that she was a trustworthy dog lover. We felt comfortable leaving our two dogs with her, her husband, and Ivanka. She was very accommodating with our early drop off time. She sent us updates and pictures throughout the day to give us peace of mind that our dogs were doing well. She even took them to the dog park to play and socialize. We expected to return from our event sometime in the afternoon but due to some unseen circumstances we could not make it back until late that night. We contacted her about our issue and she was very understanding. When we finally made it back to pick up our pups we could tell they had a great time. When we returned home our dogs went to sleep instantly which was great, especially because of the long day we had. We would recommend her as a sitter and will be using her again.
When I arrived with my hyper, 8mos old German Shorthaired pointer, Ashton was very welcoming, as was her gentle dog, Ivanka. My puppy, Dovey immediately liked Ivanka as they ran together through her oversized, shaded yard. Soon after, Ashton gave a tour inside of her house which was bright and clean. During the day I received photos of Dovey having a wonderful visit with Ivanka. When I picked her up, she was good and tired, as well as happy! We would certainly like to return!
I do not think I have seen the dogs so happy after getting "doggy" sat. Ashton and her husband are amazing, and you can really tell they care for the dogs they look after.
Ashton is wonderful! We are so grateful we found her. She loved our baby like she was her own and Desi had some separation anxiety because we recently moved. Ashton sent me updates and photos while we were away. Her dog Ivanka is also precious and well mannered. Our Desi does not typically like other females, but she loved Ivanka. I recommend her highly. We will continue to chose Ashton (her husband Loren is also super and loves dogs).

If the pooches don't burn enough energy by exploring the yards, City Park is just up the street and we can go for walks and "smell adventures."

Before agreeing to host, I like to know the following: Gender Breed Age Energy level Any special needs or behaviors that I may need to account for.

I work from home, so your dog will almost always have company and cuddles! He/she is also welcome to join me and Pecos on our morning and evening walks.
