Ashlyn is probably the ONLY person I would ever trust with my blue heeler, Shiva. Shiva was a rescue with severe anxiety and does not do well with strangers or children. Her anxiety gets much worse as soon as I am out of Shiva's line of sight. She has a very specific set of guidelines when it comes to handling and Ashlyn followed them beautifully. From the very first moment Ashlyn met Shiva, she was cautious and gentle. Shiva gave her usual uncertain growls and whimpers but Ashlyn was not phased one bit. The entire time I was gone, Ashlyn followed every one of my care guidelines and even sent me plenty of photos and videos! By the time I came back, Shiva was happily trotting along Ashlyn's side, giving Ashlyn her whole attention. I've never seen Shiva bond with another person like that, not even my boyfriend or relatives! The next time Shiva saw Ashlyn, she ran right up to her and gave her plenty of kisses! Another behavior Shiva has not shown to anyone aside from myself. Overall, Ashlyn's sweet and calming demeanor was perfect for my dog with severe anxiety. Not once was I worried during my time away. Now I always have Ashlyn's number handy whenever I need to leave town.
