I have a bachelor of science degree in animal science along with 8+ years of being a veterinarian technician for both large and small animals. I currently have 2 Australian Shepherds of my own that I trained myself. One is 5 years old and one is 1.5 years. I have owned dogs my whole life and raised chocolate labs growing up. I also have owned and cared for horses for 22 years. I have managed farms and over 85 head of horses and was the over all care taker of the farm. Responsible is my middle name and I will care for your pets as if they were my own and believe me when I say, mine are spoiled. I will show up on time and make sure all needs are met. I also am very skilled in giving all different types of medications and I am knowledgeable in all different types of medications. I can also notice when there is a problem with behavior if an animal isn’t acting right. I will always keep the owner informed on their precious pet. I’m great at communication. I’m very organized and will leave the house the way it was left, if not better.

I do not offer house sitting at my personal home, but can offer dog walking or pop in visits at your own personal home. I prefer to stay at my own home at night as I have my own animals, but on special occasions can arrange an overnight stay at your home if needed. We can discuss further if this is something you prefer. I’m always open to do what’s best for your fur baby. If your pet travels well and is well behaved outside the home, I can take them to parks for walks depending on time and your comfortability on that. Both of my dogs are well behaved and love to go on rides and play dates so that is something that is also available, according to owner comfortability on the matter. I will always leave a home the way I found it, if not better.

I would love to know if your dog has any previous trauma or anxiety. Are they on any medications or any health issues I should be made aware of. I can provide medical care as I have an extensive background in veterinary medicine. I would also like to know if your dog has any history with aggression or behavior issues. Are they good with other dogs? What are their most favorite activities to do? Do storms or loud noises scare them? How long have you owned the pet and from what age have you had your pet? Adopted/Breeder? If there is any other information you feel I need to know, please inform me!
A typical day
I love to go hiking and going to different parks for walking. I spend a lot of time with my dogs at the horse barn where they play with other dogs there’s so burn off energy. I also enjoy playing fetch and mind challenging games if that is what the dog is into (high energy dogs). I own 2 Australian Shepherds so I understand hyper dog who need lots of attention and exercise.

Availability
I am currently an instructional assistant at an elementary school and work part time so I have extra time to care for animals. I’m also an instructor giving horseback riding lessons 1-2 days a week right after school. I usually have evening free to take care of my own animals and then some.
