Pet care experience
*Please note, I live in a condo building. If your dog tends to bark, I am not a good fit. They also must be potty trained. Since joining Rover I have cared for cats, large dogs, old dogs and small dogs. I myself have had dogs my whole life. Growing up, we had four of them! I love to run and be active and I live right by the lake. Don’t let that fool you though - we certainly have our lazy days. I have an 8 year old hound mix, Ella. She keeps me busy but is also very cuddly and lazy. I have never had a problem between her and another pet. Besides her, I only watch one Rover dog or cat at a time. If I am doing a home stay, I request that I bring her with so I don’t have to run back and forth.

Ashley had great communication through out. She sent regular updates and pictures of my cat while I was away, which was very comforting knowing my pet was in good hands. I would definitely recommend her!

I live in a one bedroom condo, so if I go away I usually put one animal in my bedroom and my dog in my living room. I also have a cage, but if you have one you prefer to bring, I will of course take it!

I like to know how often they poop and when they eat. Also, if they don’t get along with other dogs or bark, they may not be a good fit for me and my dog. Being potty trained is a must, too.
A typical day
Since I live by the lake, we go on tons of walks. Whether it is walking around the whole thing, which is 3.5 miles, or going for only a few blocks, we’re always super active.

Availability
I go into the office two days a week from roughly 9 am - 4 pm. All other days I am working from home. On the weekends, I can let you know my plans if I might be away for a few hours.
