I have been watching animals through Rover for 4 years, but have been watching animals since I was a teenager. I have watched animals for friends, family, neighbors, military friends while I was in, and lots of other pet parents! I have been married for 9 years and have one daughter, a dog, and a cat. We did have chickens and turkeys recently as well! I was also in the US Army for 3 years. I am currently in school online at VGCC for Medical Office Administration, Billing and Coding. I will graduate May 2024. I also have a job during the day so my availability is limited Monday-Thursday during the day. My lunch hour I am able to do a visit or walk. I have more availability Friday to Sunday. I have my schedule posted in my bio for my day job and petsitting specifically. I do offer a early morning visit prior to work. I have plenty of experience with a wide range of animals: dogs, cats, reptiles (ex: snakes, lizards), small animals (ex: hamsters, Guinea pigs, rabbits, ferrets), birds (ex: parakeets), fish (salt and fresh water), and farm animals (ex: chickens, ducks, donkeys, goats, pigs), and always willing to learn more! I also have experience with medications both oral and injectable. I personally know how important medications are as I had a dog with Chronic Heart Failure and needed medications throughout the day, and an elderly dog who had hip issues and digestive issues and also needed medications throughout the day and RX food. Finding someone reliable, qualified, and loving was always extremely important to me and that is something I strive to give every pet and pet parent. Ensuring to keep your mind at ease about your animals while away. All of my services I offer are out of your home for the comfort of you and especially your animals. Most animals are the happiest in their own home! Also no need to pack everything and plan drop-off/pick up times for your furry friend. I offer drop-in visits and walks. Drop in visits and walks I need 1 day notice. •Not taking dogs that are exclusively using potty pads in the home. •I do offer ONE meet and greet free of charge, any extra meet and greets or key exchange will be charged a fee (price of a drop in visit each). Keys are usually left in a lock box or hidden area at the start of the booking and the last visit. •I DO NOT accept new clients without a meet and greet. All meet and greets go over the animals care, medications, likes/dislikes, questions, and more. This is NONNEGOTIABLE! This ensured the safety of the animals and myself. •Each animal being cared for will need their own profile to be covered under the Rover guarantee. •I do not offer any discounts or special rates. The only one I have is the first time Rover user code for $20 off your first booking: ASHLER95231 •Requested times: I try my best to get the time requested or offer other times. I also have a + / - 1 hour window in case of traffic or issues with a previous visit with another client. (Example if I could not get someone back inside if they love to be outdoors) •Inclement Weather: in case of inclement weather I do recommend an emergency replacement in case I need to cancel (such weather includes ice, snow, flooding, tornadoes, or hurricanes). •Cancellation Policy: Non-holidays have a 1 day cancellation policy, cancel by 12pm the day prior to a booking and receive a full refund. Anything after 12pm the day prior results in a 50% refund. Holidays and holiday season: 3 day cancellation policy, cancel by 12pm 3 days prior for a full refund, anything after that time period results in a 50% refund. These policies are in place, especially for holidays, since spots are held and others are turned away for services. •Holiday rates: holiday rates are posted. Holiday rates are applied due to high demand and sitters taking time away from their own families to care for animals. •Holiday requests cannot be held longer than 72 hrs due to high demand. Bookings must be paid for within the time frame. •Bookings are not confirmed until BOTH parties accept on their ends and the booking is paid for. Rover holds on to the funds and the sitter is not paid until AFTER the booking is completed. •Unavailable dates: dates that I will not be available for any services or by phone. I always have these dates posted and try to let everyone know in advance. All messages and requests get an away message with sitter recommendations. I answer all messages the day following my return. •Rover charges an 11% service fee to the pet owner per booking maxing out at $50, they also take 20% from the sitter. •Star Sitter Program: Program is designed to show acceptance rate of NEW client bookings, bookings are declined on both the owner and sitters end if there are things such as safety concerns, last minute requests, availability (Rover does occasionally send requests that do not match availability), the owner not liking the sitter, owner not messaging back after requesting care, or other factors. Does not show quality of care, just that the sitter is always accepting past a certain percentage of new requests. Some sitters will accept the booking and then cancel after a meet and greet if it does not work out just to keep their ratings up.
