Licensed Vet Nurse :)

Pet care experience

I've been a registered vet nurse for almost 20 years and, on top of taking care of sick fur babies at a specialty hospital, I've had several of my own in that time. From my silly Boxer, to my chronically ill asthmatic cat, to my typical lazy kitty - I've experienced all of the personalities and challenges. Not only can I keep up with your rambunctious one or hang out with your kitty, I can also take care of your elderly or chronically ill fur baby. I’m available for: quick drop-ins for feedings, walks, potty breaks, litter scoops, poop pick-up and medication administration. As I work remote, I’m also available for extended chill sessions in your home :) I am currently not available for in home boarding or overnight stays.

Ashley was so accommodating with taking care of my mom’s pets while she was in the hospital! I really appreciate her communication and how she cared for the fur babies. Would definitely book again. Thank you so much!

Very kind and communication was wonderful and detailed, which we appreciated! She has a calm presence so we knew she was a great fit for our needs!

Ashley greatly improved the life of at least one happy cat, who otherwise would not have had an audience for his vocalizations. For the short time we needed someone, this worked out very well.

Ashley is a great communicator. Ideal for making inroads with pets on the timid side, and having them warm up enough to interact. Greatly reassuring.

Safety, trust & environment

Safety and comfort are the top priorities for everyone involved. I prefer to make myself available to the pet and let them approach me as I find that it makes for a more comfortable experience. I do require that all dogs be leash-trained and know basic sit/stay commands. I’m a small gal, so I am unable to safely care for dogs over 100 lbs. Not only is safety important, but everyone’s privacy is as well. Therefore, pics of your pet will not be shared with anyone other than yourself. For my privacy and safety, I am not accepting clients who have in-home cameras installed and all clients must be comfortable with me sharing your location with a trusted family member.

Information Ashley P. would like to know about your pet

Does your dog have any special needs or medical conditions? Are there any anxieties, such as storm-induced or gender-induced? Does your doggo prefer to be solo, or do they enjoy meeting other animals while on walks?

A typical day

We'll go on walks around the block and the dog park. I know some pets prefer to just hang out on the couch, which is a-ok as well! If there is a particular activity that your pet likes, let me know :) The end goal is for your pet to feel comfortable!
