Pet care experience
As a working pet parent myself, I understand how hard it can be to get a walk or play time in for your pals. My experience comes from my past and current pets. I currently have 4 pets of my own, 2 cats and 2 dogs. I was also a foster volunteer though SCRAPS. I understand how hard it can be to find someone you can trust to care for your pets as you would. That’s why I do require a Meet & Greet before booking. This is for you and your pets comfort as well as my own. Since I do require a Meet & Greet before accepting a booking, I most likely won’t be able to accept last minute requests. Information Ashley H. would like to know about your pet
Before caring for a pet I would like to know about their personality, likes and dislikes. I also need to know if your pet is vaccinated. I have pets of my own and will not care for pets that are not current on their vaccines. I do not have any breed preferences as long as there is no history of biting or aggression (please note it is against Rover's terms of service to to arrange for the care of animals that have history of attacks on people; section 4.1). For dogs: How are they on walks? Are they reactive to other pets or people? For cats: How are they with strangers? Do they like to play and be pet or just keep to themselves? My goal is to make sure their experience with me is the best!
A typical day
Walks: I can take your dog on a walk wherever you are most comfortable with me walking them. I do not go to dog parks however as there is too much risk involved. Drop-in visits: I can make sure your pet has fresh water and food if needed. Make sure that your dog has plenty of time outside to go potty and we can play/sit outside (weather permitting) or have some quality time inside. For cats I can make sure the litter box is clean and make sure their food and water levels are good as well. Happy to give them attention too (or space if they prefer)!

Availability
I work from home Monday through Friday and have some flexibility throughout the day to care for your pet, but mainly available after 3:30pm on weekdays. My weekends are usually free.
