I am a grad student and I'm home most of the day! 😊 Background checks: I have undergone frequent, in-depth background checks from holding positions in the healthcare system as well as recently for the state and federal government. 》 I am well connected and experienced with animals which I gained through working in the animal rescue community. 》 I am a planner, conscientious, and enjoy helping people and my community. 》 I became a Rover sitter because I love animals and want to provide a safe environment, companionship, and exercise for dogs who are at home all day and/or are away from their loved ones. Cats need love too! 》 I am a proud paw-parent of a 12 y/o, 54lb Lab, BC, mix. I know it can be difficult to leave the care of your furbaby with someone you barely know or worse, at a boarding facility that could expose your dog to illnesses or stress! I hope I can be your alternative. WHAT TO EXPECT... 》I require a day/time to set up a Meet & Greet to discuss your fur baby's care needs and other important details before your first booking. This allows me the time to meet you and your furry friends to make sure we are a good fit and to give you the time you need to ask questions as well ! 》 You will receive plenty of updates and pictures of our fun adventures! I am big on communicating! You will never have to wonder. 》I promise to 100% provide all the love, cuddles, and belly rubs your pup needs while you are away from home and keep them safe at all times! WHERE DO YOU OFFER YOUR SERVICES? I would like to offer drop-in/walking services to your pup from the comfort of their own, familiar home. My services are available to anyone living in: City Place, Belmont Park, The Central, Knox/Henderson, Cross streets for reference: On the east side of 75 - I serve areas between Haskell Ave (Kroger/LA Fitness) north to Henderson ave. I do not cross Ross ave. On the west side of 75 - if you are on the east side of Cole ave north to Henderson ave, south to Haskell ave/Blackburn across to Capitol ave. I no longer service most of the Uptown - if you live in the Uptown area please contact me to see if I still service your particular location. EXPERIENCE I have cared for my friend's Golden Retrievers and Lab-mixes, as well as helping neighbors with their pups. I am currently a "fur"tographer for Dallas animal services to help animals who have been in the shelter for an extended period of time get new photos and videos so they can find their furever homes faster! Over the past few years, I consistently volunteered with a local pet-rescue which, has exposed me to many other types of dog breeds and behaviors. I have a huge network that consists of volunteer and rescue groups for dogs and other animals, thus, I try to stay abreast of current doggy goings-on. **It is important that I am able to set up a meet and greet prior to your first appointment. I would like to take a moment to get to know your dog/cat and your expectations for his/her walks/drop-ins.** I do not accept bookings without a meet & greet. All time 5 star petsitter! Ashley took such a good care of my cat while I was out of town and her attention to detail was amazing. She never forgot any minor requests that I asked for to make my cat feel comfortable while she's alone and this made me completely worry-free during my trip. My cat needs lots of attention and human interaction and I was able to see that she got enough of it because Ashley sent me many GREAT photos of my cat playing with her everyday!

I always ensure the highest safety measures when it comes to caring for pets in their own homes and during their walks. It is important for me to know what your pet's preferences are such as: Are they fearful of storms, loud noises, do they tend to bolt out the door, or are they an escape artist? How do they react around other people on their walks? Do you need to leave the trash can somewhere else so they do not get into it? All of these things are crucial to ensure the safety of your pet. I always check to make sure doors and windows are locked and secured, and that nothing is out that can cause harm to your furbaby. When I am walking a client's dog and we cross paths with another dog and their owner, I always put myself between my client's dog and the strangers passing by to avoid any confrontation. If you are using a lock box, the numbers get scrambled when I remove the key during the visit and when I return the key to avoid anyone trying to open the lock box or seeing the combination. If you use a garage door code during your visit, I make sure no one is around that can see me punch in the code during the visit. Doors are always checked during the visit, and after the visit to make sure everyone and the home is safe. I regularly observe weather changes to keep your pets safe. There was a time a tornado warning went off during a walk because a tornado was in the area. I ran the dog all the way home and made sure he was safe until the warning had passed. I also made sure to keep the owner informed the whole time.

How is your dog around other people/dogs while on a walk? Do you allow them to meet other dogs while on a walk? Does your pup have any health restrictions/limitations? Such as a senior dog can only walk for a short distance, or a puppy has not had all their shots and cannot be exposed to other dogs. Does your dog/cat take medications? Please provide the details. What is your cat/dog's feeding schedule? What makes their day? Do they LOVE going for that walk, or do they get excited about belly rubs or playtime? What is their usual routine? I want to keep it as normal as possible for them while you are away. :)
A typical day
I love to make sure dogs are stimulated through games, walks, smells, and make sure they are comfortable in their own environment. It is important for me to ensure any animal I care for has a consistent schedule that models their usual schedule as close as possible. Where do they like to walk? What is their favorite toy or game? Do they like the tv on while no one is home? Or relax outside soaking up the sun? It is all about what makes your furbaby happy.
