Pet care experience
After having recently lost my own pup, BB, after 15 amazing years, I found myself not ready for another sidekick, but still wanting to surround myself with all the little lovebugs, big and small, old and young. I've cared for and trained dogs over 20 years, through work at the Nebraska Humane Society and doggie daycares, dog and house sitting for friends, family, and recommended clients, and of course, having had my own babe until her recent passing. I have experience with training young pups, as well as dealing with elderly dogs in their gentle but challenging older years.

Great job with our senior girl! Sent lots of pictures and kept in touch the whole time we were out of town.
Ashley was the BEST. Excellent communication, and took care of all of our babies so well! We have a diabetic cat who needs insulin shots and I never worried about him once while we were away. We came home to a clean house and happy pets! Can’t recommend her enough, we will definitely have her back for our future trips.
Ashley was amazing. We were nervous about leaving our reactive and sometimes even aggressive dog with someone new but she took the time to get to know him, give him space, and let him warm up to her. It took a few meet ups to get Max comfortable and Ashley put in the work to do that and now Max loves her. We got updates twice a day and weren’t worried about him at all. Definitely book her!
Ashley is wonderful and it’s obvious how much your dog isn’t just “another dog” when she cares for them. Skip was so relaxed and enjoyed staying with her. I didn’t have to worry about the quality of his care at all

I'd love to help care and give as much love to your dogs as I did to my own, whether through dog walks or boarding. I live in an apartment unit within a 4-plex with a large enclosed yard and dog park. There are other dogs within our small apartment community, but also ample room to steer clear of other pups if required. Your dog isn't required to stay in a kennel in my home, but of course that is allowed if he/she is more comfortable. After years of dog sitting both in my home and at clients' homes, I can adhere to whatever routine and rules you've made for your pet. For walks, I love to adventure around my neighborhood near Blackstone and Dundee, but also love to go to parks and trails like Chaco Hills, Zorinsky, and Hitchcock if your dog likes to go on a trek!

It's incredibly easy for me to adhere to any schedules, quirks, training, triggers and everything in between while watching your dog. After a meet and greet, I typically ask owners to provide me with a care sheet that includes any and all tidbits of info for your pup - the more info the better! I'm here to support established routines, and to make leaving your dog in someone else's care as easy and stress-free as possible!
A typical day
I love to get out and about as much as possible, so if your pup is up for a long walk, a park visit, Omaha Dog Bar, or even a car ride, I'd love to have a sidekick! I also understand that some dogs aren't as into those adventures, so I love to facilitate whatever their activity levels are.

Availability
I work remotely from home, and have a large dog run in a pet friendly, small apartment community. I occasionally work outside of my home at local coffee shops and workspaces, and if they're potty trained and comfortable, your pet would be alone for no more than 6 hours. Flexibility is the name of the game here, and your pet is always top priority!
