Dog Mom AF

Pet care experience

I have a 13 year old yorkie named Dunkin and a 2 year old cockapoo named Champ who run my life. I’ve had Dunkin since he was 8 weeks old. I rescued Champ in January of 2019 in honor of another cockapoo I rescued and only had 4 months before he passed away from bone cancer. Champ’s previous owner boarded him at a doggie daycare in Virginia, and never picked him up. My Champ spent 6 and a half months at the facility wondering when he was going home and where his person was. The day I adopted him I promised him three things. That he would never be left again, he would never have to wonder where his person was, and he would never be boarded where there was a cage situation. In making that promise to him, I would like but to help provide another dog parent comfort in knowing their dog will be well taken care of. They will roam my home freely and vacation in a home away from home situation. From one helicopter dog parent to another- I get the stress of leaving your dog with someone other than yourself. I understand the worry if they’re being taken care of how you would and them receiving the attention they need and deserve. I promise to love your dog like it’s my own! Dunkin, my yorkie is a little more independent, as he’s older and likes a quiet environment. Champ, on the other hand is a social butterfly and wants nothing more than a buddy to get into mischief with. Double points if you have a little princess. Champ is a ladies man and falls in love with every girl he sees. Don’t worry. I’m too young to be a grandma and grandchildren are not possible. I have one social butterfly and one wall flower. I understand both types and whatever your dog’s need and/or want is, they will be made to feel comfortable. I don’t have a fenced in yard but I always leash my dogs to go outside. Your dog will never be left unsupervised or taken out without a leash. We go regularly to Fair Park in Nashville. I’d also be happy to take yours to the dog park with us, if you’re okay with that. I look forward to hearing from you!
