Based on her reviews, I booked Ashley for drop in visits while my boyfriend and I were out of town. He got a last minute overnight trip for work and our regular sitter was unavailable for the times I needed. We have a large fenced yard for our senior Dachshund and energetic Aussie mix, neither of whom require any high maintenance care. Ashley was quick to respond to my request and easy to coordinate a meet and greet with. HOWEVER, I am DISAPPOINTED in the rest of our experience with her. We are able to monitor door activity at our home through our alarm system and I was very upset to find that out of the five supposedly 30 minute visits we paid for, the longest time she spent at our house was 9 minutes! The four other visits were as follows: 8 minutes, 6 minutes, 7 minutes, and 6 minutes. To me, that is not even long enough to freshen up their food and water bowls and give them enough time to relieve themselves (particularly my senior Doxie who enjoys taking his time). Forget about it being long enough to play fetch or give them any decent amount of affection. Over the two days she spent a whopping 36 minutes at our house from the time she opened the front door to the time she walked out. In other words, that doesn't even qualify for 1 1/2 visits. The fact that we paid for 5 is laughable. I received only one update from the first visit that consisted of a picture of each of my dogs, no text. The Aussie mix had her favorite fetch toy by her so I was feeling good until I looked at the door records (8 minutes for that visit). I am suspicious that the one and only update was sent because it shows up on her profile for other potential customers to see. I did not receive any other updates or communication from her. Who doesn't like to receive a quick note letting you know your dogs have in fact been let out? I do, especially when I check the request for updates and pictures and particularly when I am a new client unfamiliar with the person I just trusted to take care of what I consider to be my children. Also note that instead of charging an "additional dog fee" per visit like some other sitters, you will pay double the rate of a single visit if you have two dogs (three times if you have three dogs and so on). So to add insult to injury, we paid her double what she would have made at a single dog house. I obviously agreed to this beforehand and wouldn't have minded had it been quality care or even the bare minimum we paid for. When confronted with the issue she told my boyfriend that she took on too many jobs. I am not interested in excuses. She had five separate opportunities and was consistent in the pitiful amount of time she dedicated to each. I can understand if there is a rushed visit every now and then but it's obvious that she had no intention in spending any longer than was the absolute dirt minimum, not even for one visit. Our dogs do not have set schedules and we were very flexible in what time frame she could come let them out (sometime morning, midday, and before bed). She should have responsibly managed her time, notified me that she was unavailable when I first contacted her, or even warned me ahead of time that all she could offer were short visits. TO HER CREDIT, she did offer to give us a refund which we declined. All in all, my pups survived and she did at least show up to let them out even if for a few minutes. Unfortunately, I cannot say I would recommend Ashley to anyone looking for a sitter that will deliver what they promise or what you pay/hope for as a pet parent.

Ashley was an amazing dog-sitter! We loved using her and will happily do so again!!! From our initial meeting through our return home, Ashley provided flawless communication and exceptional service. She was the kind of houseguest that anyone would hope to have, was fantastic with our dog, and was happy to adjust her schedule to meet our dog's needs. She truly went above and beyond! I know that there are a lot of choices when it comes to pet sitting, but I count myself as truly fortunate to have found Ashley. I will certainly be a repeat customer!
