I've volunteered as a foster parent for the Oregon Humane Society, a dogwalker for the Pixie Project, and a large animal volunteer with Rojo the llama and his furry alpaca friends, and I have extensive personal experience with dogs and other animals. I am patient, playful, and a natural with animals. I am currently training a very sweet therapy dog, and I am honored to spend time with animals every day. Ashley's so great and I will definitely be using her again!
I have used Ashley a few times, and she is amazing. My dog always comes back happy and walked. In addition, there have been times I needed Mosley picked up from daycare, watched overnight, etc and Ashley has been super flexible.
Ashley was great, she was super punctual, great with the pup and overall excellent. Already scheduled another appt.
Ashley has had an unusually wonderful heart and kindness for all animals but especially dogs for as long as I have know her (which is a very long time). It is just lovely and inspiring to watch her interact with all types of dogs with her gentleness combined with strength. She will be a major asset to your organization.

No breed preference, but I would like to know if there are any behaviors to watch out for, any fears/aversions that the dog has. I have worked with countless rescues, and I understand how to work with animals that have a complicated history. I'd also like to know if there are any behaviors/tricks that the owner is working on with the dog, so I can continue the training process and reinforce those skills.
A typical day
I can go all sorts of place! I love the woods, and I live close to several lovely parks in Sellwood. I am a block away from Westmoreland Park and about a mile from Sellwood Park. I am very active, as a yoga teacher and runner, so your dog would be enjoying a lot of motion and activity. (I also love to cuddle, for those dogs who aren't so keen on the long walks and hikes. We can snuggle down and enjoy hours of petting and low-key hanging.)
