Pet care experience
My first job was the official dog dryer at Hairy Beasts Dog and Cat Grooming in Broken Arrow, OK. After high school, I attended the Bel-Rea Institute in Aurora, CO. I graduated with an AAS degree in 2004. I worked as a veterinary technician from then up until 2013 when I took a brief hiatus to be a stay at home mom. My kids are now 9 & 13. I am currently a full time veterinary technician at a local mixed animal practice.

Ashley did a great job watching Tucker. She sent pictures of him and I felt very comfortable with her staying at our house. I will definitely use her again.
I was very pleased with Ashley watching our two labs. She kept in contact with us by sending pictures of the dogs and was very responsive when I asked how they were doing. She also took the initiative to request medicine for our dog who was having ear issues. (Ongoing issue with our lab) She asked us first and then applied the medicine. This shows how caring and concerned she is for animals. She stayed at our duplex and we couldn't even tell she had been there. I would highly recommend Ashley to take care of your pet/pets! We will definitely use her services in the future.
If you want someone whose first and foremost concern is about the well being of your pet, look no further than Ashley. Her dedication to our fur babies goes above and beyond. She has a great rapport with our pets, and is very patient even with the difficult ones. She has excellent background in animal health, that makes her well equipped if an emergency were ever to arise. 10 out of 10
Ashley is amazing with animals! She works at the vets office that our rescue facility uses and she is my GO TO person when I have a question or need help with an animal. She has also volunteered her time to help out at the shelter. She is very knowledgeable and generally knows what is wrong with the animal before we even have to see a vet. I’ve watched her handle the animals, help assist with surgeries, clean the kennels, talk with their clients and patients…you can’t go wrong with Ashley!!! Very dependable and reliable!!!

I have an extensive knowledge of pet health and behavior. I know when veterinary intervention is required. I can administer medication, trim nails, clean ears and even perform CPR if needed.

Knowing a dogs likes and dislikes and quirks are important. Do they hate people on bicycles? Are they okay if approached by off leash dogs? Are you okay if we hit the trails and they come back a little dusty? What, how much and how often do they eat. Do they treats after they potty. Do they sleep kenneled or in the bed with you. I want to know what is normal routine so I can do my best to stick to it.
A typical day
I love being outside. Trail hiking is a family favorite. I am fairly new to Illinois so we are still discovering fun trails around the area. I do enjoy playing ball and frisbee although, admittedly, I am not great at either of them. I was not blessed with a sports physique.

Availability
I work full time but I am available before or after work for walkies or play time. I am available all day Sundays and work half days on Saturdays.
