Ashley G. is not only one of my favorite people, but also one of my pets’ favorite people! Do you ever see someone with an animal and know they have a gift? That’s Ashley! She has a calm, pleasant, and patient energy. I have witnessed her interactions with my dogs, cats, horses, donkeys, pigs, cows, and chickens! She sees them, really sees them! They are drawn to her! I have also seen Ashley’s interactions with her own pets. As a 7 year-old child, Ashley got a pet rat. She built her rat a gorgeous home, complete with furnishings, hand drawn decorations, and even a name sign! It read “CLEAR,” which was supposed to say “Claire.” She delicately handled her rat, fed it, cleaned her cage, and played with her each day until the day Claire died. Now, almost 14 years later, I see that same love and interest she had for Claire, shared with her cat, Nova, a feral little rescue beast. They have a bond, a real connection! Nova loves Ashley! She follows her everywhere, sits on her shoulder, sleeps with her, and even perches on the edge of the bath tub as Ashley showers! I know that Ashley will do an amazing job with any animal client! She will give them love and respect as she has done her whole life!
