I treat ALL animals like family!

Pet care experience

I'm back for the summer! I've finally graduated college with my masters degree in education and taught my first year as a kindergarten teacher. Unfortunately, the income is just as advertised. Fortunately, I love all of your furbabies and am excited to meet them! I have been working with animals and children just about my entire life I've had four dogs over my lifespan from the short-tempered Yorkie (Polo) to the sweetest, most loving Lab (Montana). In 2017 we had to put Montana down after two years of battling diabetes. I have a new pup, Riley the English Springer Spaniel, and she is the most outgoing and goofy thing. She is like a little human -- almost literally. I may have given her a closet's worth of clothes. I may seem crazy... but I'm sure you would like to have a pet-sitter who will treat your animals as a child. I do. Experience-wise, I worked at PetSmart over on Ireland road for a good two years and have tons of experience with all things pets! I'm familiar with medications and such, I administered insulin to my dog two times a day for two years. If you have unusual pets, I don't mind looking after them either! (I have had up to six rats of my own and tons of reptile experience.) I am no longer a college student, but an educator. Right now it's summer and I'm available any time! During the school year I am in school from 7 am - 3 pm, but I'd love to work with your pets. Just contact me and we'll figure something out! By the way, since he has helped me out before, I should introduce my boyfriend- Adam. You'll find him in my pictures up there. He's a really great guy and, should I need a little help, he tends to step up to the plate (especially on weekends). I will always mention beforehand if I might request his help at a house sitting, for I also work two jobs and cannot stay in the house the entire time. If you have a puppy that needs let out every couple of hours, I might request his help. He has the most experience with our adorable cats, but he has also raised dogs with his family his entire life. Riley and our new boy, Floyd, have been teaching him the ways of overactive puppies, and I'm sure he can handle whatever comes his way. -Again, I will only use his help as a last case scenario, but he has been very willing and helpful in the past. If you would like to meet him during a meet and greet he's very willing to show up! If I have enough notice, I can request time off from work. He has helped me with the short-notice, emergency bookings.

We really enjoyed Ashleigh. She visited and loved on our kitty cats every day for two weeks. When we got home the house was in perfect shape, the cats were happy, and we felt great about her work. We would have Ashleigh care for our Babies anytime.

Ashley is absolutely amazing! She sent photos all weekend and I could tell my girls had a great time with her! It’s a great feeling to know my fur kiddos were being very well cared for while we were away!!

Ashley was great with our dogs and they really loved her. She sent many pictures to us so we could see what they were doing. She took them for walks. We couldn’t have asked for anyone better.

I treat my pets as if they are my children, so I will do the same for yours. When they are outside I am always attentive, listening and watching for any change in behavior. When I come to your home, my goal is to leave at low of an impact as possible. I do my best to clean as I go and leave as little of a trace behind -- the only thing you should come home to is a content pet or two.

Information Ashley E. would like to know about your pet

I'd like to know the basics of your pup. If there are any allergies, if there's anything that makes them angry or scared, how to best soothe them, what makes them happy. Anything you can let me know! No breed restrictions here, I'm adamant that it's how a dog is raised and treated over breed.

A typical day

I love walking around the River Walk! Both of them are really close to my home. I'd like to discuss the areas that you have been with your dog and their experiences. Not good with kids? We'll avoid the park. I'll bring lots of treats (within dietary restrictions) and toys to play with along the way. My favorite place to go with Riley is the Niles Avenue Dog Park! We go there every day after classes, and we'd love to bring your pet along as well.

Availability

It's summer, so right now I am completely available to come and shower your pets with affection any day, any time. I do have pets of my own at home, so I'm used to scheduled feeding times and such. That being said, I still have to take care of my fur children!
