Are you looking for an experienced dog-sitter, cat-sitter, or dog-walker?? I have owned two dogs; one Golden Retriever and one American Eskimo. I raised them from tiny pups and they each lived long, full lives. I’ve also raises two loving cats, two chickens, two bunnies, and a handful of birds. I've also dog-sat for small and mid-sized puppies and dogs for the past 12 years. I am experienced in handling very anxious dogs, puppies, seniors, and special needs dogs (one of my own dogs was both blind and deaf during his final two years, but we still had a blast on walks and at the park.) I absolutely love animals, but my research has taken me overseas for extended periods of time and I am hesitant to adopt my own pet until I finish my PhD. Would you prefer a dog-sitter to stay at home with your furry friend during the day?? I am in graduate school and spend all day writing my dissertation. I am happy to do this from home so that your dog never has to be alone. Does your dog like frequent walks?? I take up to 5 walks throughout day (up to 5 miles per day) and I love having leashed canine company- especially when I walk to the lake in the morning. Does your dog like being the only one around?? I only take one client per night (unless they come as a pair), so that each dog receives my full attention. My husband works a lot, but will also be home at times. Although I will be the primary care-giver, he loves to play with the dogs when he is home. He is especially sweet to them at bedtime or when I am away for a moment to cook dinner or shower. I promise your dog will be showered with attention during the whole stay.
