Pet care experience
I’ve been dog walking and dog sitting since I was 9 years old. The foundation of pet care is love and respect for our dear, wise friends, and open communication with clients. Available moring, noon and night for walks, hikes, overnights and custom pet care in the Roaring Fork Valley, serving locals and visitors alike so you can enjoy your vacation and have peace of mind that your friend is in excellent hands. I frame my dog care around the principles of the Monks of New Skete, authors of The Art of Raising a Puppy and How to be Your Dog’s Best Friend. Proud owner of two dogs raised from puppyhood, former owner of a rescued cat, your pet is as important to me as my own are.

Ashley was the best! Her care with our dog while we were away was detailed and loving. We received constant communication and pictures of our pup the whole time we were gone. He came home happy, healthy and relaxed! I think he missed her! I feel so grateful to have found her and hope to continue to have her as our favorite resource for dog sitting.
Ashley took care of our beloved Golden Retriever (Annie) while we were away overseas on vacation. It gave us great comfort knowing that she was exercised everyday and was given plenty of attention as Golden Retrievers can be very needy. When we got back from vacation, Annie looked happy and healthy and you could tell she had a strong bond with Ashley. Ashley loves dogs and has a natural connection with them.

It's great to know about your dogs quirks, whether they be food-related or socialization tips, what kind of people they like and don't like, and whether they have ever been aggressive with another dog before. It is also important for me to know how your dog behaves with puppies, as we have a young one at home right now. As for breed preferences, I can't say I have any, I just love all nice dogs!
A typical day
We live in a quiet and rural neighborhood about 15 minutes from Highway 82, so we don't get a lot of traffic on our street....our leashed walks happen primarily around our home, or down at Crown Mountain Park in Basalt! We love playtime in our yard, and we also have a "shabby chic" themed living room for the dogs to tear around in! Our ratty old rug is perfect for rolling around on the floor, chasing stuffed animals, devouring treats from kongs, playing and wrestling, and of course, it's a common venue for belly rubs as well.
