Pet care experience
My previous career was as a veterinary technician. I worked in small animal hospital for five years and have owned dogs for 15. Very capable of taking care of high-need pets with medicatikns or additional care routines. I currently have a black lab and also have experience with obedience training and field training for duck hunting. My work schedule is very flexible, so I can generally work my schedule to fit in walks and pet visits as needed. Just ask if I’m available! When taking care of pets in a client’s home, I ensure that the pet has playtime, gets exercise (as appropriate), and all their basic needs are met (food, water, and bathroom breaks). I want pets to have a good, relaxing time when I come to visit, so I’ll spend time getting to know them as well as performing the basic duties of walks and care. Your pet is your friend and I will treat them as such :).

Ashley is a wonderful pet mother. She frequently watches my 8lb chihuahua during overnight stays at her house, where my dog shares a living space with her black lab. I think that gives you an idea of how responsible of a pet owner she is. My tiny dog can share a living space with her large lab with no issues. Anyone having Ashley watch their pets will have nothing to worry about. This is probably because she spends so much time training her dog and well as others. Simply put, she's the most responsible pet owner I know.
Ashley has dog sat on several occasions and I couldn’t recommend a better person to care for your pet. She is knowledgeable, caring, reliable, and will treat your dog as if it were her own. I trust Ashley with all my dog sitting needs.

I would love to know if there are any particular issues that you are working on with the dog in regards to walking. If you would prefer that the dog stay at heel or not pull on the leash while walking, I will work on those skills with your pup so my walks are consistent with the way you prefer your dog to walk on a leash with you when you are home! Consistency is key!
A typical day
I love getting to know what each dog enjoys. It could be anything from playing fetch to running around your yard to going on a long walk to catch all the neighborhood smells. Once I know what your dog enjoys, I'd love to cater to its preferences!
