Hi there! My name is Ashley, and I am a PhD student in Genetics at Yale. I worked as a vet assistant for four years during college, and love to spend time with cats and dogs who especially need some extra love! I grew up in San Jose, CA with dogs, cats, guinea pigs, and birds and absolutely love spending time with animals of all ages, sizes, and abilities! I have experience working with special needs dogs and cats, and will make sure your dog or cat is healthy, happy, and safe. As a grad student, I don’t have the sufficient time to devote to a pet of my own, so I’d absolutely love to spend time with your animals! Please reach out with any questions!

As always, Ashley took fantastic care of my cat, Sookie. She even brought her hair ties to play with because she knows how much she loves them. I always know Sookie is in great hands when Ashley is taking care of her!
Ashley is my go-to catsitter! She does a great job of playing and snuggling with Sookie, and always sends me so many pictures which reassures me that I’m leaving my cat in good hands.
Ashley is an AMAZING human being and deserves the highest praise! She went above and beyond expectations to help me care for my cat Mango while I was away for a week. She truly loved our boy and took extra time and visits that were absolutely appreciated! Every day I got her reports with pictures and detailed updates, which warmed my heart every time. She is absolutely loving, caring, and very responsible. I recommend her 100%!
Ashley is such a kind soul!!! She was so sweet with my shy kitty and instantly instilled confidence in me that he would be well taken care of in my absence. She took diligent notes during our meet and greet and went out of her way to take Kali's shyness into consideration. Her experience with animals and empathetic nature is clearly evident and very much appreciated. I HIGHLY recommend Ashley and will definitely rebook with her in the future!! :)

No breed preferences- I love all dogs of all different breeds or mixes! Would like to know any important health concerns to look out for (such as being prone to seizures, allergies, etc) as well as dog-dog aggression so I can be cognizant while on walks to avoid direct interactions with other dogs.
A typical day
I would love to take your dog on a long walk around the beautiful East Rock Park! If they are up for it, we can hike to the top!
