I am now a married 30-something, looking to continue my love of animals by helping look after yours! I have experience with everything from high-energy Basenjis to big strong pit mixes. Small exotics are also a specialty. I've been a chinchilla owner for 10+ years and sat for roommate's birds. I am a freelance voice artist, working on my own schedule. I mostly work remotely, as most of my work is online. Therefore, I have the ability to work your needs into my schedule most of the time. Have a doubt? Please ask! I am most available to sit for your pet in your home. My vehicle is adequate for dog travel, and I am happy to take your pup to the park/groomer/pet store as required. Your dog can also come to my home for daily stays, as I have a fenced-in yard for them to run around for as long as they want.

Ashley was an answered prayer! She took amazing care of my Remi and did whatever was required to help her feel safe and comfortable. She kept me updated on Remi with texts and pictures and I will definitely be using her again!
Ashley is terrific and I would definitely love for her to watch my pups again any time. She's a great communicator with humans and dogs ;-)) One of my dogs is recovering from an injury and Ashley knew just when to encourage her to go out and/or eat and when to let her rest. She also made a point to split the attention between the two dogs which is important for us, because one tries to hog it all! Both dogs were calm and bright-eyed when we got home, which was a clear indication that they had been very well taken care of by Ashley. She is reliable and responsible and took great care of our home, too. She gets our highest recommendation!
Ashley was so wonderful with our dog Loki! He is very skittish of humans (he had a tough past), so we needed someone who was calm, kind, and understands how to interact with a fearful dog. She is so excellent with him - within a day she had him on a great routine making sure he was eating, drinking, getting his meds, and going out to the bathroom. By the end of the stay he was snuggling right up with her and was SO sad when she had to leave! Ashley is super communicative, always sent daily updates & pictures, and kept the house clean and exactly as we left it. We could not be more grateful to Ashley for taking the best care of our boy!!

What are they allowed/not allowed to do (on/off furniture)? Are they nervous or aggressive, or adverse to other animals?
A typical day
Some of my favorite dogs are the ones who get me outside. Just like many pups, I am under-exercised. I enjoy finding new walking paths + parks, visiting the beaches and shore walks with dogs, and discovering the hidden spaces our area often keeps away from us. But, since I'm just as lazy as your dog I'm also happy with a fenced-in yard and a pup who doesn't want to leave it and just likes playing ball and tug-of-war with their favorite toys. I'm also a sun worshipper and will lay out with the best of them, but also walk in the rain. I'm scared of spiders and ticks, so I stay away from areas that are too bushy. No ticks for me!
