I’ve had a few pets of my own now for about 7 years. I’ve had my Guinea Pig the longest and my long hair cat cam shortly after the pig. I now have 2 cats, a chinchilla, a guinea pig and a dog. I’ve had my pittie for a year this month and she’s been an absolute joy to have around. I keep her well groomed and I’ve been taking time each day to train her new things. I’ve had family pets before these so I’ve been taking care of fur and feather babies since I was quite young. I have several friends that ask me questions about how to care for their pets and several friends that use me as their pet sitter for vacation and travels! I have a LOT of experience with animals! I’n currently doing a part-time job while I get back in order to go to school. I set my own hours for my part time job, so I am available to walk dogs all day Mon-Fri as well as Sat and Sun, I can always work my schedule around fur baby hours!! My small animals have a bedroom to themselves so they aren’t caused any stress by the cats and dogs, and then I allow my cats and dog to roam my house freely except for in the Laundry room and the bathroom for sanitary reasons. If a client has a specific area for their animals to be in, I will absolutely respect that! And all animals are allowed on Sofas and the bed! We love our babies to feel at home! I have a fenced in backyard, but I prefer to take my dog Bitsie on walks because the fence is easy for her to dig out of. This just means that I would take the dogs for walks if they were at my home rather than letting them out in the yard.

Ashleigh did a great job of keeping our senior dog comfortable while we were gone. She kept us informed on any changes and shared pictures almost daily. I had no worries while she was there with him. I would definitely rebook with her again.

Ashleigh saved the day. We found the perfect dog for our family a week before a week long trip. We didn't want to board her so quickly after rescuing her from the Humane Society, and Ashleigh was right there, ready to help our baby adjust to life OVER CHRISTMAS. With flight delays this year, she was flexible to add us to her schedule when we were stuck somewhere that wasn't home. We came home to a clean house, fed pets and washed laundry. Will be using again.
Ashleigh was absolutely awesome and perfect for our furry pets and our home. From the first ‘meet & greet’ until our return I knew she was the best person for the job. She immediately loved all the animals, was upbeat, positive and receptive to all my crazy requests. Always in constant contact and instantly responsive, Ashleigh was more than capable of making decisions or minor changes to make everything work. Our puppy and our daughter’s dog had to get to know each other and it took a bit of juggling to figure out the best way to keep them happy. The cats too had to adjust to the ‘new dog’, which she also managed beyond expectations. In addition to our animals, she went above and beyond taking care of our home. She cleaned, changed sheets and towels and even did laundry, took out the trash, and left everything in better shape than when we left! Ashleigh’s competent and relaxed abilities made it possible for us to truly enjoy a much-needed vacation. She’s undoubtedly the only care giver we’ll ever consider! THANK YOU ASHLEIGH!!!

My dog doesn’t have many special needs but prior to owning her myself she was abused. Please let me know if your dogs have ever experienced any trauma so that I can introduce my dog to your dog slowly. Also, please let me know how your dog does on a leash before I walk them, I like to prepare myself if they’re pullers.
A typical day
A typical day with dogs I watch would include a morning walk which is longer than the other walks. We then come home, rest a little, play with some indoor toys! Every 2-3 hours I’ll take the pups out for a walk and for their third walk I like to take them to deleware park and walk down by the water, there’s usually some people there and my pups can get some love!
