More Details

About Shadow

Shadow is a 9 year old, petite, black lab/chow mix. He has been professionally trained, but did come from a neglectful previous owner. As a result, he has separation anxiety and panics when left alone. He has been known to open locked doors and escape from the yard via tiny holes in the fence. We lovingly call him Houdini. As a result, he must be crated when alone for his own safety. He feels safe and is happy in his crate, but would of course prefer to be in the company of someone and go for walks, dog park trips, etc. When home with a human friend, he is calm, content, and sleeps most of the day. He will follow you everywhere you go, which is why we named him Shadow.

My sister said it best, Shadow is not aggressive by any means, but he doesn't speak "dog." He's not so good with doggy social cues and can sometimes unknowingly agitate other dogs who may be more skiddish/aggressive.

About Pig

Pig is a very loveable bulldog, but has become rather cranky and particular in his old age. He’s also quite stubborn, so he needs a patient, gentle individual to care for him.
