Pet care experience
Follow my Instagram @DogSitterAshlee to see the furbabies I’ve cared for and if you book me you can also keep up with them on there as well as daily updates I send through Rover! My name is Ashlee and I’ve been a dog owner since I was a little girl! I currently have four dogs of my own Rocky who is 15, Honey who is 4, Chance that we rescued who is also 4, and Peach our newest addition who is 1 and they are all dachshunds. Rover is my full time job! My first job was at a boarding facility as a kennel technician where I took care of dogs and cats and my duties were cleaning up after animals, feeding according to a schedule, leash walk specific dogs, bathing dogs, and most importantly showing them love while their owners were away! I left that job to move to SA and still talk to my old boss all the time! I also worked at a vet clinic and a popular boarding facility as a kennel technician here in SA and I did the same things plus a little more at the vet. I do not have professional experience with medication for animals but I do have personal experience with liquids and pills but no experience with any kind of needles. I know how to work under pressure and have dealt with every situation imaginable and have dealt with every kind of dog. I have a soft spot for old dogs but I will love any dog that comes my way! I will be home with your fur baby for mostly the entire day everyday! The only time they would be alone is if I need to go grocery shopping or run a quick errand but I try my hardest to never leave them unsupervised! I also love taking pictures and all of the dogs in my gallery I’ve cared for in the past and all pictures are taken by me except the ones I’m in. So I promise you will get a bunch of pictures during your dogs stay with me! And I definitely recommend you go through my gallery so you can see the array of dogs I’ve cared for! I know how hard it is trusting someone to take care of your fur baby especially considering you don’t personally know them but I can assure you I take care of every dog like I do my own and I keep an eye on them at all times and also have cameras in my home so even if they’re in a different room than me I like to watch and make sure they’re doing great! I hope after reading about me you choose me to care for your fur baby and if you have any questions or concerns feel free to let me know!
Reviews
Ashlee and her fiancé did an amazing job watching our two dogs! They stayed in contact with us and sent pictures and videos daily. Our dogs seemed very happy and comfortable at their home with their family dogs. We couldn’t recommend them more, Ashlee was very trustworthy & caring to our boys like they were her own. I would definitely recommend her to anyone in and around the San Antonio area. If you are trying to decide on a sitter, put your worries at ease leaving your family friends with Ashlee and her fiancé.
100% peace of mind our whole trip was worth the money. She will cater to your dogs personality and has constant updates with pictures and videos. Cannot recommend enough!!
This was our first time using Rover and Ashlee made us very comfortable! She was a great communicator, sending photos and videos every few hours, and was very flexible when we had to change our itinerary!
Ashlee was amazing and my fluff had a wonderful time. Will definitely book again????

I have a big fenced in yard that is very secure since this is a new house the fences are new and sturdy. I have 4 dogs of my own who have met so many dogs at this point they tend not to care much anymore but still love to play with others once they get to know them.

I do not accept any dogs that have any type of aggression wether it be towards other dogs, food, toys, etc. My first question, Is your dog/dogs friendly with ALL other dogs? If the answer is no then I am sadly not the sitter for you. If your dog/dogs are medium or large do they play well with small dogs? If the answer is no I’m most likely not the sitter for you considering I have 4 small dogs (miniature dachshunds) myself and they do not like large dogs that play too rough and since they are dachshunds their backs are very fragile and I do not like them to be getting trampled by other dogs. One of them is almost 14 years old and does not like dogs who don’t respect his space and will not tolerate it. My dogs also will not play with dogs who don’t understand boundaries and I do not like my dogs to feel uncomfortable in their own home which is why I’m very strict about this rule. If you answered yes to both of those questions then please answer these! Does your dog/dogs have any food allergies, any special requirements, have they ever dug or hopped a fence, are they more outgoing or laid back, are they allowed on furniture, have they ever stayed at a sitters house or a boarding facility and if there’s anything important you feel I should know please feel free to inform me! Also if you have any questions at all ask away! I apologize for so many questions but I like to be as thorough as possible. I rarely leave a dog alone but there are times I need to run an errand or go grocery shopping and be gone for a short amount of time, if that happens how long can your dog/dogs normally be left alone and do you normally crate them or let them free roam? *Please do not lie about your dog(s) getting along with others and playing well with small dogs, if this booking is accepted, if or when I watch your furbaby if I feel any sense of aggression or playing too rough you will be informed and have to pick them up. Thank you for understanding, all of these questions and rules are to ensure the safety of your dog(s), my dogs, and my other clients dogs. I try my hardest to make sure that it is a safe environment here for all dogs.
A typical day
I have a giant backyard for all of the dogs to run around, I love sitting outside with them watching them play and love getting pictures as well, I have TONS of toys so they always have someone or something to play with. Dogs are allowed on all furniture here unless they aren’t allowed at home then I will not allow them here so I don’t create any bad habits! I normally don’t go on walks since I have the backyard and I like to be as cautious as possible and you never know if you’ll see a stray dog, or cat on a walk but if you would like me to walk your furbaby just let me know! They must have a harness and not a retractable leash in order for me to take them on a walk. When they’re not playing outside they’re either playing inside or napping so they can build up their energy to play more later!
